De La Hoya vs Mayweather II?

Can it happen? Does Oscar still have some gas in his tank for one last fight? On paper this would be the most bought PPV more than the 1st fight back in 07.

Oscar was Past him prime the first time they fought so why on earth would he do a rematch for

If over a million people bought this fight, they would either just want to see Mayweather or how badly Oscar would get dominated. No serious chance of a win for him here. He hasn't had a match since 2008 and is currently in rehab. If Oscar wanted another shot, he should have fought Mayweather at 147 pounds. The offer was there but he declined it for a match against Pacquiao at 147 pounds. And you saw what happened there.

El comandante,

With all due respect, thou shall not ask such a ridiculous question like this again. There is no chance of this fight happening sir, hall of famer Oscar De La Hoya is currently in rehab for a well publicised addiction and is 40 years old, not much younger than myself. With that said what lead you to think he has enough in the tank? Devastating loss to Manny Pacquiao 5 years ago and was not keen on sticking with his idea of sparring with his fighter Canelo Alvarez.

Besides Mayweather had no interest in a rematch in 2008 when it was realistic so why now? Look to the future my friend. Garcia, Khan among a few other young stars are among the candidates the fight Mayweather.

People are always finding excuses --__--). If Oscar would have won then Oscar was simply the better fighter :). But, since Floyd won then Oscar was past his prime :(. Lol, Oscar was 33 years old and he still was durable. He even was the jr. middleweight champion at the time. And he was ranked in the top 5 as being one of the best super welterweights in the world. He also gave Floyd mayweather his hardest fight of his career but he came up short. And he went on to beat a top 10 jr. middleweight fighter at the time in Steve forbes by an impressive decision. But, was Oscar old then? No, he was a great fighter. Which he is but Floyd mayweather is simply a better fighter than Oscar.

Also, the word prime is being past around too much by uneducated people. Prime: to be at one's best or to be at his or her full potential. It does not always correlate with age. Floyd mayweather is still in his prime because he's still dominanting every fighter they put infront of him. And he's still breaking records.

Lol I wouldn't even watch it for free. TGB's hatred for Mayweather would make him even more determined than he was the first time round to come charging in but this time he'd get stopped in his tracks and it wouldn't be pretty. I don't wanna see De La Hoya take any more thrashings

Oscar was a shot fighter when they fought the first time. He almost beat Floyd then, but now he would not make it to the end of the fight.
