Every once is a while a special fighter comes along Rigondeoux won a championship in his 9th fight not bad right. Before he turned pro he is one of the most decorated amateurs in the history of the sport coming out of Cuba not like Zoe the 31 year old China man who fought last week after winning two gold medals and looking like shittt. Rig is a south paw and everyone is down playing it but he is from the famed Cuba team all there fighters are trained to fight left handed . The only way I can see Rig losing is if he gets tired which he wont . Rig is fighting so he can bring his family here .I have seen Rig fight a couple of times and I have never seen him in trouble I have never seen Donaire in trouble I think we will see both fighters in trouble tonight. I just don't think Donaire is going to like it when his bell gets rung.Rig is hungry he has to win this fight it is the reason he cam to the US. Rig by knock out in the 5th round.Rig is a much better boxer but Donaire is a much better pro fighter and this does mean a lot but I think Rig will be so determined that nothing Donaire does will deter him from a victory.
I pick Donaire by decision.I think Rigo will fight cautiously and game plan for the left hook.I do believe Donaire will score a knockdown,but not finish Rigo off.This will probably be a bit of a boring fight with some good moments mixed in.I also think Rigo is a few years older than he says he is,so that could be a factor,plus the huge step up in competition.
I think Donaire will win this. I think it will be on points but Donaire will knock Rigo down at some point in the fight. Although Rigo is extremely quick and moves well, I think he is there to be hit and gets over confident. I just feel that Donaire will be too slick and experienced for Rigo. It wont be easy, but I think Donaire is just a bit better than Rigo at this stage of his career.

Donaire by UD probably 117-111..to be honest Rigo hasnt impressed me yet..his last win was unimpressive.

I think the cuban southpaw Rigondeoux is coming with the right front uppercut to try to deal with Donaire's superb defensive left hooks. It's gonna be a great fight for sure.
