So after Mayweather defeats Canelo, who should he fight next and vice versa?

Rian G,

Whoever wins should fight Sergio Martinez. Sergio could come down a in weight and has said "I can make 150" That being said. That would be a great fight for either Floyd or Canelo.

how can canelo convince anybody, he fought whooo? trout, the guy who beat an obviously washed up cotto? josesito lopez, the journeyman who got lucky cuz ortiz has a bad habbit of openning his jaw while attacking?....canelo doesnt have the speed to match floyds, the guy's stamina is already suspect to last against floyd, and more at worst due to the catchweight...

canelo is a b-level fighter sugar coated and well groomed by GBP to look good for princess floyd

So if Mayweather will no longer fight Manny Pacquiao then his best opponent at 150 + division would be Martinez. That's only if Mayweather has the courage to fight and face him without any conditions.

with winner of Mattyssee Garcia or Alexander-khan. You can forget Marquez and Bradley that will never happen they are with Top rank Arum is not gonna do that. It has to be somebody from the golden Boy stable and the names that were popping around before Canelo were Alexander. Khan, and Garcia. and out of all those guys the one who has the best chance to beat Mayweather is Mattyssee

Eventually Sergio Martinez has to be considered for either Floyd or Canelo, possibly both before it's all over.

After he smacks and takes away Canelo's lunch money that his momma gave him, Mayweather should then man up and fight Manny Pacquiao. Now that Pacman lost to Marquez, Mayweather should be certain that he can beat Pacman too. Canelo on the other hand should retire or go back to working at Walmart as a cashier with no benefits.

After beating Canelo for the unified 154 lbs. titles, the natural next move for Floyd is to go back down to 147 lbs. and fight in another title unification the winner of the Marquez-Bradley WBO welterweight championship fight. That WBO title was once worn by Manny Pacquiao until Bradley took it from him via that controversial decision in June 2012.

Canelo on the other hand despite the loss should stay at 154 lbs. and fight Ishe Smith for the IBF title.

All I know is that he needs to decide whether it's 147 lbs or 154 lbs. He's too old to be moving up and down in weight. I say Welterweight because there are more fights for him.

Canelo and Trout have a rematch.. For Mayweather the field is open anyone at 140,147,154 I guess

Wladimir Klitschko enough said. Or how about his brother even, now this would be a good fight. If Mayweather defeats him then he'll be considered the best boxer out there right now(my opinion) & he won't even have to prove it by fighting Paquiao next right after Wladimir.

Canelo still hasn't convinced me....Mainly his cardio. He look absolutely winded when he fought Trout. People can talk about size and explosive power but he isn't that much bigger than Floyd Mayweather Jr. Also, Mayweather looked much much sharper in his last fight. For some reason, his legs looked pretty bad against Miguel Cotto.
