So let's say Wilder beats a 39 years old Wladimir next year. Will het get full credit for beating this senior citize

and of course no one takes into account the fact that in order for Wilder to face Wlad he needs to pass over Pulev first.But...who cares about all these eastern europeans that currently dominate HW boxing anyway? It's only the American prospect Wilder who matters here....apparently...

First off I gotta tell you that as glass as Wlad's jaw may be, Wilder has a tissue paper chin himself, and the chances of Wilder beating Kilitschko are at best very unlikely. If Wilder does pull off a miracle and KO Wlad, it would be meaningless because the heavyweight division itself is meaningless, it has been devoid of talent for well over a decade. The guys Wilder KOed to get to 31-0 are basically nobodies, and in truth the same can be said for most of Wlad's victims. KOing Wlad is no big deal, I mean it's not as if it hasn't been done before by arguably lesser men than Deontay Wilder. There have been other big upsets in the past, not the least of which was Buster Douglas in Tokyo, but they are rare. Young beating Foreman and Spinks beating Ali would be historically similar to Wilder beating Wlad, but of course given the weak opposition Wlad has faced in his career it really wouldn't be that historically significant other than the title changing hands.

Calzaghe beating a shot Roy Jones would be bigger than Wilder beating Wlad, but both would be a victory over a name worn by a memory not a actual existing fighter, but a shell of himself. Middle age in not kind to boxers, and it is getting close to the point where father time will force Wlad to follow Vitali into retirement. Lets hope nothing serious happens before Wlad retires, in the end his health is more important than his legacy.

How wrong you are! Marciano's reign as world champion and his 49-0 record would amount to nothing had he not battled and beaten the old guys you said he did not get credit for defeating! Calzhage ultimately got the notice and recognition by beating those old chaps and Johnson only got grudging acknowledgment from white America as the true heavyweight champion by beating Jeffries.

Of course, Wilder will get full credit for beating old Wladdy K after 20 or so other "youngsters" dismally failed before, including and especially Kubrat Pulev who many see as a bigger threat should he fails to unseat Wladdy in their scheduled fight this year.

You give Vitali Klitschko credit when he got stopped on cuts and didn't even beat a 38 year old Lennox Lewis, so why wouldn't Wilder get the same type of credit in a similar situation. Young and hungry contender versus long reigning champion.

I don't see why he wouldn't get credit when Klitschko is supposed to one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all-time. Why wouldn't a young Olympian with an undefeated record and 100 KO% not get credit.

Nice talk..............there are kids on this forum too. Marciano doesn't get credit for beating a 37 year old Joe Louis, because Louis had retired and came back for the $$$$ as he owe back taxes. Each in their prime Louis beats Marciano everyday of the week. IMO. He would get credit..............not many have beaten Wlad.

First of all, at 39, Wladimir is hardly a senior citizen. He's taken great care of his body and lived a clean life. In that regard, HIS 39 isn't old at all.

.

Second, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I don't see Wilder beating Wladimir.............if he even fights him.

Should get credit because Wladimir is in good physical condition with extensive winning streak.

? Wladimir to fight Deontay Wilder would be specially prepared, as well as Tucker was prepared to Tyson in 1987

He won't. He Will be champ but he won't get full credit... just as Kovalev won't if he beats Hopkins.

By the way, even at this age, Klitschko has to be a clear favorite over Wilder.

If wilder does beat Wladimir then of course he would get credit he just beat the champ.

But of course Wilder isn't going to beat wlad he will get knocked out, hell he is going to lose to stiverne when they meet.

this is a bull **** question if he wins he gets full credit its their choice when to retire if they dont and get knocked out its their stupidity he still faught so he get all the credit a win is always a win

Rocky Marciano beating a 38 years old Joe Louis = he gets no credit

Rocky Marciano beating a 33 years old Ezzard Charles = he gets no credit

Rocky Marciano beating a 38 years old Jersey Joe Walcott = he gets no credit

Rocky Marciano beating a 39 years old Archie Moore= he gets no credit

A 36 years old PAST HIS PRIME Calzaghe beating a PRIME 43 years old Hopkins = Calzaghe gets no credit

Calzaghe beating a 31 years YOUNG Chris Eubank = he gets no credit

A prime Jack Johnson beating a way past his primeretired, fat and old for back then James Jeffries = he doesn't miss from any P4P top 10 all time great boxers lists!

Dejavu if and that's a HUGE IF Wilder beats a 39 years old Wladimir the cock sucking we will witness from the media, racist black fans and self loathing drunk white American and Brits will be one of a kind.

Are there clowns who will still try to convince me that it's not about race? Ninjas please!
