Which boxers did you expect to have a great chin, but they didn't?

Jermain Taylor.

After his two fights with Hopkins, the last thing I was expecting was a string of KO's as devastating as he took from mediocre opponants. I thought he was going to be a hall of famer.

Julian Jackson, among the greatest chin-checkers and chin-busters in all of professional boxing, I expected him to have the ability to take at least a measure of what he can dish out. But Mike McCallum and Gerard McClellan bust this myth by stopping and knocking him out. McClellan even proved that his first KO win was no fluke by repeating over Julian by an even easier and earlier KO in their reamtch. What's worst, Jackson would lose three more fights, all by KO/TKO before his career was over.

Ditto with the once celebrated John the Beast Mugabi.

I don't expect any fighter to have a great chin but it takes years to prove that they really have got a great chin when it has been tested aghast the big puncher's and some of the best boxers in the world couldn't put your there lights out then you start to expect them to have a great chin.

So I expect nobody to have one its something you have to prove not expect

Definately "Big" Michael Grant because he was 6'7 and a chisled 250 but when he fought Andrew Golata his chin got exposed for sure as he went down like a cripple ,although Grant still got back back up and got the stoppage win.

In Amir Khans first few fights ( which in the uk we got to watch free on tv and millions Of people followed his career after his Olympic medal ) we thought he had everything, and we actually thought he could be a worldbeating p4p who could demolish anyone. It's actually embarrassing how much we hyped him up. His chin is beyond bad. He hasn't actually got one. In Britain we really don't like the fact he is the one training in the U.S.A and representing us.

Please god any American reading this don't think of him when you think of British fighters, we are better than that!

Which boxers did you expect to have a great chin, but it turned out that they ended up not having a good chin.

One example is Audley Harrison. Because of his size I expected him to have a good chin when he first turned pro. It quickly transpired that he had one of the worst chins I have seen.
