Without a doubt they are both two of the greatest this era has to offer. Their rivalry is legendary. However, who do you think is the best out of the two?
I favour Marquez. Their first two bouts were unbelievably close and could go either way. The third, however, belonged to Marquez. It wasn't a Mayweather domination but not a bout that was close, at least not as their last two fights. I scored it 116-112 for Marquez. 115-113 is acceptable and a draw is debatable. Marquez didn't get the decision he deserved though. The fourth fight, we all know how that ended. It was rather a close affair which looked as if Pacquiao was going to actually stop Marquez in the fifth and sixth round but ended with Manny on the floor.
Marquez adjusted with his gameplan as he knew wasn't going to win by decision even if he deserved it. He bulked up and went for the knockout. I have the series 2-1-1 in Marquez's favour. Of course this is just my opinion. What do you think? Did Marquez deserve victory in the third bout and what did you score all their bouts? And finally, who is the better fighter?
