earnie shaver is number one for this in my opinion.his power really carried him.he knocked out some top guys but if he couldn't manage to nail someone he had a hard time adapting and finding another way to beat them and often got stopped himself.i put this down to him getting into boxing so late in life

Rocky Marciano should top that list. He had nothing but his strength, stamina and that tremendous hitting power.
