Why do people always talk down on people who dont have technique when the great Ali had No technique either ?

ALI was unique as he came along in the 60's with his own style which was Brand new to all involved in boxing. Every trainer out there dissed him for having hands too low, for pulling his head back instead of slipping the punch or bobbing and weaving. No body punching either. Only after his beating Sonny Liston did some of the critics agree he was fast enough to get away with his own style. MAny others like Tony Tubbs, etc. tried it but were not as half successful.

Muhammad Ali is the greatest because as one writer said he had his own style, when it came to fighting. He carried himself like a true champion and professional. He stood up for what he believed instead of using derogatory curse words which tells a person's I.Q. He did not believe in fighting a war that politicians had the urge to start and he was not free in his own country, he had some big ones for facing the establishment that was killing and maiming our young. He did not assault children and women to make up for biological short comings like certain fighters today, who snivel and whine because daddy and mommy did not give them any attention as a child. Ali was very intelligent, Tyson lacked it because he was easily taken advantage of, especially by his management and mother in law..Sheer power will not win you fights, then again maybe against what I call Tomato Cans, that the town drunk could man handle. By the way you explain this and you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, you must be an all time great trainer with the likes of Ray Arcel, Angelo Dundee, Yank Durham, Eddie Futch, and Emmanuel Steward. Technique is important and relevant to the makings of a great fighter, only if he has his own style, and tries not to be someone else.

Where have you been? How old are you?

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" was his.

He had fast hands, he had the footwork ( Ali shuffle) he had the defense to avoid being hit.

In his early fights he would predict which round he would KO his opponent.

He could back up his cocky insults. He was humorous in his interviews.

He said, " I am The Greatest" and he was. ( until age caught up with him )

First of all technique is needed unless you are a natural.

Einstien got an E in uni.

people told him he was a failure, and he didnt study but in reality he was gifted.

if you arent talented you have to work your way to the top

Because Ali is the GOAT

It's good to be different... Maybe being different is in itself a technique??

Some boxing fans can be real hypocrites, they always talk down on people and talk about technique like technique is everything when The great Muhammad Ali had NO technique, he had terrible technique and was one of the greatest of all time and an olympic gold medalist and had the most D*** riders of all time, Along with plenty of other all time greats who had no technique. So how is technique and fundamentals everything when Mostly All of the All time great boxers Did NOT box with proper technique????? when people who try to be little textbook geek proper boxers get NO WHERE most of the time and every all time great you can name did things their own way and thats what Made them Great. If Ali had proper technique he wouldn't have been an all time great period and he would've been garbage if he had proper boxing technique and you wouldnt have even known who he was.
