Why not? It could very well be an eliminator for a possible Mayweather fight later this year. Lara currently holds one of the major belts at 154 and if he succeeds to defend it against Charlo or if Charlo manages to wrest it, that could motivate Floyd for a unification match in his scheduled second fight of 2014. Friendship should not get in the way of an important opportunity such as this.
Doubt it, Lara is in line for bigger things at the moment.
I would've said a fight w/ Carlos Molina, BUT Molina is already fighting Charlo's brother JermAll.
Charlo deserves a title shot, but the titleholders are most all booked at the moment.
Since that's the case I'd like to see Jermell fight someone like K9 Bundrage, Ishe Smith or Austin Trout.
Jermell charlo will not fight Erislandy lara because they are stable mates. They agreed to not eachother so it will most likely not happen. On the other hand, If the fight is somehow finalized. I would pick Lara to win by decision.
I think it would be an interesting fight. I’m not sure if it will ever happen though b/c as someone pointed out they are stable mates. The Charlos are good young fighters but If it did ever happen I’d pick Lara to win b/c of his experience and skill.
