Will Mayweather finish his six fight deal..?

I believe he will. He has even hinted to possibly fighting beyond the Showtime deal. I think the Alvarez fight will bolster his popularity and legacy...especially if he puts on a great show (like the Guerrero or Cotto fight). I think after Alvarez he stays at 147 and there are some interesting possibilities there from Bradley, Khan, Alexander, Danny Garcia, Maidana, or possibly Broner...I say if he stays undefeated and his hand hold up, he fulfills the contract.

Every interview where he's asked about retirement or his showtime deal he's always emphasized that he plans on fighting 5 more times (including his upcoming fight with Canelo) so I assume he's serious about finishing the deal. After Canelo I doubt Floyd lingers around 154, he's gonna vacate those belts and move back down to 147 and most likely his next fight will be against the winner of Khan vs Alexander, maybe Matthysse or Garcia when they move up. And I actually dont think a future fight with his "little bro" Adrien Broner is out of the question. Marquez already stated he has no interest in fighting Mayweather again and unfortunately I doubt he fights any Top Rank guys like Bradley, Rios or Pac.

I suspect he will, unless the contract is voided or he loses badly. Since neither of those will likely happen, I think he will.

I'm not amazed he took the Alvarez fight. The kid has a name and world-class POTENTIAL. He's not there yet, and Mayweather knows it. Once he fights and beats this kid, he can fight a few lesser opponents without anyone complaining that he's ducking contenders.

Given the huge amount of money to be had at the end of the deal, I think Money will finish his six fights assignment. As to his winning all those fights, it depends on who he will be fighting next assuming he gets past Canelo this September. My guess is that he will be targeting any of the following fighters for his next four bouts: Winner of the JMM-Bradley WBO welterweight fight in October, Marcos Maidana- Danny Garcia-Lucas Matthysse potential fights winners, IBF junior middleweight titlist Ishe Smith, winner of the Pacquiao-Rios fight in November ( a long shot ), Amir Khan, Devon Alexander, Adrien Broner.

That's where Floyd's defense kicks in. The reason he can still fight and win the way he does is because of his defense. By not going in wars, he has kept himself healthy and strong despite his age.

Floyd can definitely stay undefeated and the toughest fight out there is Canelo. If he wins, granted, it wont be easy but he can definitely do it so yeah. He can do it. As long as he keeps to his defense and stay with his "hardwork, dedication" motto. He can fight till he his 50 years old :P

he's his own boss, not even a contract can tell him what to do...

if he wants to quit, he'll buy-off his contract and wont even say goodbye to you ed

he's into his health so much the moment he's convinced he cant do it anymore he'll quit

yes, his health is really big deal to him, really big he asked canelo for a catchweight?

he hated fightingh in catchweights in the past, right?

canelo already having stamina problem, what do you need the catchweight for?

man i dont even think he'll fight twice next year

maybe he'l fight 4 more fights in the next four years...

If he stays healthy, for sure he can do it all. I heard that he might even fight on after his contract is over.

It's too hard to quit something that you dedicated your entire life to. theres nothing else you know how to do after a few years. Unless he gets into coaching.

Ok.... Mayweather signed a six fight deal - The most richest sports deal in history (Boxing).

The question is - Will he forfill his obligations..??

The Ghost and Alvarez command the first and second fights...

That leaves a remaining four fights - Assuming he overcomes Mexico's finest....Unfortunately for Floyd... He is in the most hostile of weight classes....

I was amazed he took the Alvarez fight... This is a serious contender, nobody can deny that..

But they don't come much easier after that fight either.... Can Mayweather really be expected to fight another top 4 ranked contenders after Alvarez??... And to keep winning??
