Would adrien broner be consider a coward if he skips the 140 division?

and takes feather fisted weakest champ at weterweight paulie malignagg instead of khan, mathysse, peterson or rios..

How can a fighter be a coward who was at Super Featherweight last year and is a 2 division champion at 24...jump 3 weight classes in a year and be a coward. No on called Pacquiao a coward for all the fighters he skipped over while jumping weights. He is going to welterweight where 5 of the Ring's top 10 pound for pound fight. Not a coward at all.

No. He is definitely not a coward. As others have said, any man who steps into the ring regardless of whether the person he is facing is a brutal puncher or not, could not be called a coward. You still get hit, you still have to deal with the pressures of making weight and the potential for injury in training and in the ring.

If this move actually happens it will be good for boxing as I have said in another thread. Broner is a big 135 pound fighter and as Intrepid said he has been fighting from 126 to 140 throughout his career. If he fights at 147 and wins, then he most likely would not be able to go back down to 135 again. He would either stay at 147 and face a talent laden division including Mayweather OR he would go down to 140 and face a talent laden division. Either way we will not see him at 135 facing Burns, Abril, or Vasquez in what would probably be easy and pointless fights.

Picking Malignaggi, the weakest of the 147 pound belt holders seems a suspect move, but whatever... the end result is that Broner will be facing better competition in the very near future. If he avoids the best at 140 and 147 or does move back down to 135 I would lose all respect for him.

I wouldn't consider Adrian Broner a coward because i don't think any fighter is a coward. However, I would be extremely disappointed if he moved passed the Jr. Welterweight division without fighting any of the names you mentioned.

If I had to guess; I'd say Broner beats Malignaggi, wins the Welterweight belt, and we see the same BS we seen with Andre Berto. A guy fighting a long list of opponents nobody wanted to see.

he's been skipping up and down from 128 to 141 lbs...
