Boxing: Is Algeri Pacquiao's "smartest and fittest opponent"?

A) Is this promotional nonsense?

B) Is Marquez the smartest he has faced (from a fighter perspective) ?

C) Is Algeri in better shape that Bradley?

A. Yes it is promotional nonsense. Algeri is college educated, kudos to him for that. However, all the book smarts in the world can't help him once that bell rings.

.

B. Great question. I'd have to say Yes. . Marquez looked like a real dumbass against Mayweather. However, he seems to have Pacquiao's number. The point is that a fighter's intelligence can often be judged by his knowledge of his opponent. I doubt anyone knows Pacquiao more than Marquez does. Again, Ring smarts counts more than Book smarts in this case.

.

C. No. Algeri might be on par with Bradley when it comes to conditioning. I doubt that. One thing I do know is that he doesn't surpass Bradley in conditioning. I doubt anyone clearly surpasses Bradley in that regard. Few are on his level in terms of conditioning.

Algieri owns a master degree in Nutrition and that is where they base their analysis of Algieri. I don't know if Pacquiao ever fought an opponent who owns a degree much more a master on such and in Nutrition that is in demand to fighters who wanted to be in their fittest form. The only fighter who have a higher education than Algieri is one of the Klischko who owns a PhD.

Literacy was being measured not by knowledge learned from the street but knowledge that comes from the books, as far as I know and that is what they were talking about.

A) No, It just depend on our interpretations.

B) Yes, Marquez is the smartest so far or fighters perspective.

C) It could be. I don't have any knowledge on how much body fat they both have.

1. I think it is just promotional nonsense, Algeri isnt the smartest boxer but he uses his jab and his reach well and has a nice output, and he is pretty fit though.

2. Marquez is one of the smartest fighters pacquiao has faced, along on that list is cotto bradley morales and barrera,

3. Yeah i think he is actually, bradley gassed in the second half of the fight agaisnt pacquiao, algeri threw almost 1000 punches against ruslan while moving most of the fight, hes a fit guy.

He's none of those things lol. They're trying so hard to talk Algeri up because they, and everybody else for that matter, know he's nothing.

Dude's a kickboxer who's only been boxing for like 6 years! He has just one recognizable fight on his entire record, and has never fought above 140 hahaha.

The fittest and smartest out there is still in hiding Sean. Algeiri is a good alternative though.

Chris is 4 inches taller than Pac, bigger and durable. He's undefeated too like Fraud. So enjoy watching.

He's book smart. Marquez is the smartest fighter he's fought. Marquez arguably beat him everytime.

One thing I do know, is that Algeri is not even close to the conditioning that Timothy Bradley has.

No. Fittest and smartest has gotta be Marquez.

He has got to be or else he would have the shortest fling with boxing glory since Leon Spinks in 76.

+2 for me marquez is the best he has come to my house before not lying

No one will be saying that after Pac is through with him XD

Algieri went in with Provodnikov, got hurt early and went the distance taking the fight. Please don't try to belittle that.

1) algieri got a college degree, thwts smart... check

a degree in nutrition he practices on himself... check

2) no, it took him 4 shots to beat pac, erik did it in one

check & see how effective eriks style was on their 1st fight

jmms style from fight 1-4 didnt changed...

3) maybe,
