If Pacquiao were the same fighter as he was three years ago, I'd say he could overcome the physical disadvantages he'd take into the ring against Brook and beat him. However, at this point in his career, I don't think Pacquiao can motivate himself to be at his best against a guy like Brook. Who, outside of mainstream boxing, knows Brook?

Unfortunately, if Bob Arum decides he wants to sacrifice Pacquiao once again, for a few dollars, and tells him to fight Brook, then, Fight On. Pacquiao's greatest weakness remains his Blind loyalty to Bob Arum. I'm not even totally confident about this upcoming fight with Algieri.

Pacquiao is engaging in an uncharacteristic amount of smack talk. It's not to say he doesn't have the right. I'm just saying that it's not like him. This tells me that he might be having problems motivating himself for some of these second tier up and comers.

Pacquiao should be able to beat a guy like Brook. However, it really depends on how much of his heart is still in the game. I get the sense that money --or the fear of losing it-- is now a much greater motivation for fighting than anything else. I'd call a Brook fight a "pick em" right now. Lets see how Pacquiao does against Algieri. I'm not convinced it's going to be the cakewalk some seem to think it will be.
I think Brook gives Manny so issues early on, but ultimately Manny works him out and wins by UD.
floyd started this trend, like when guerrero beat a fading berto, now maidana after beating a poser like broner, brook beat a porter and you want him against the #1 welter? why not bradley or jmm? brooks definitely needs such names on his resume first, dont you think?
He would try to swarm him , I doubt it works out well for him. Brook is a extremely tough fight for anyone.
You can never compare Manny to other boxers. He still is the best boxer for me.

Kell Brook seems to be a good counter puncher and an excellent athlete as well ,just like Floyd Mayweather.
