He isn't close. Geales promotor showed he knows nothing about Boxing. Probably only knows Austrailia. GGG has never fought one notable opponent. He has 0 guys right now, that anyone will ever remember. GGG has potential of being one of the greats, but right now he's still unproven. James Toney, Roy Jones, Hopkins, Tinidad, Hagler, Taylor, etc, These guys were proven.
Knowing how Golovkin beating everybody he could be. What is clear is that GGG's the real deal in the middleweights at this time.
HELL no. Skill-wise, who knows, we can only speculate, but the only substancial proof we have of who is the best is by fighters records.
30 years ago was 1984. Middleweights in that time span who have more accomplishments at 160lbs include; Jermain Taylor [Was the last UNDISPUTED middleweight champion], Roy Jones Jr., Sergio Martinez [YES he did accomplish WAY more in middleweight even though he just lost], among several others.
Marvin Hagler and BHops frekin reigned in middleweight as undisputed for YEARS, GGG accomplishment is $hit compared to them.
GGG is in the same EXACT spot Kelly Pavlik found himself in only 7 years ago but at least GGG has an extensive amateur background and a SLIGHTLY better ko% but then again; Pavlik beat BETTER fighters when he was in the same position & Pavlik had MORE WORLD TITLES.
Records and statistics don't lie. I am sure nobody can name any fighter better than the Triple G WITH PROOF and not all these debatable and questionable facts. Fighting in a different era can never be blame to a fighter just in case somebody used that argument. Did Golovkin duck or avoided any fighter? No as far as I know. He is willing to fight all comers whoever they are.

thats his opinion but the resume just isn't there...then again neither is marciano's resume but many consider him the best...as i say it's all just opinion
