Boxing: What 3 things would immediately change boxing for the better?

I thought of this with Oscar planning on working with Arum now.

1. (I think we are ALL agreed on this one) 1 world title per division. Do this and champs cant avoid challengers and challengers cant pick easier champs. And as a result, promotion companies will have to work together too.

2. No more PPV. Boxing needs to return to beinng a mass audience sport. To do that, it needs to be less costly to fans. Back in the day, everyone saw Ali fights. Today, hardly anyone actually sees Mayweather fights. And he gets more viewers than anyone.

3. Have 4 judges for world title fights. Makes it less likely a biased one can influence the result. Also means a judge is on each side of the ring so a view of a punch is seen from all 4 angles. And in the case of a 2-2 split, make it the ref acts as the 5th judge having had a different but closer view of the action. This would make draws really unlikely too.

The extermination of Bob Arum

1) No promotional rivalries.

2) Just one recognized sanctioning body with one belt per weight class.

3) Elimination of all the stupid "junior" and "super" weight classes. They're just an excuse to give out even more meaningless belts.

1. One sanctioning organization, and the elimination of the Alphabet soup pile of meaningless title belts that devalue boxing and distort the word "champion" to the point that it is all but meaningless in today's boxing

2. A return to eight original weight classes, Heavyweight Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, Welterweight, Lightweight, Featherweight, Bantam Weight and Straw/Minimum weight.

3. A Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight.

1) Do away with the number of promoters and have only one promoter per continent.

2) Limit each with division to 2 belts ,a world title and a continental title ,if the continental champ happens to defeat the world champ ,he takes the world title while the continental title becomes vacant.

3) Hold doctors more accountable for the drugs and supplements that are given or perscribed to the fighter instead of the fighter since so many fighters seem to use their doctors as a scapegoats.

1. Eliminate promotional rivalries

2. Showtime and HBO work together

3. Sanctioning bodies force promoters to work together

fair fights with respect
