Manny pacquiao will need to beat an elite fighter to earn a shot at Floyd mayweather. A victory over timothy bradley will get the job done.
rios is a bum. Obviously a handpicked opponent by team arum to put pacioua back in the running after his brutal loss against marquez. It means nothing because he would get destroyed anyways. As long as pacioua is with bob arum I don't think that fight could take place. The truth is pacioua was a hype job from the very beginning and they made him out to be more than what he was. I always knew with floyd skill level that it would be easy for him to outbox a one dimensional like him. So truthfully, he doesn't deserve a shot at floyd. That is the reason floyd didn't want to give him a 50/50 split of the money because he didn't deserve half. He didn't do enough like what floyd has to get that kind of money.Besides bob arum would have probably milked him for most of his purse anyway.
Manny earned a shot against Mayweather 6 or 8 years ago, the Rios fight is meaningless.
Manny Pacquiao's career has earned him a fight vs Mayweather. Rios proved nothing. He is nothing like Floyd. He is slower, less skilled, smaller, etc. That means nothing to the question of whether Manny is worthy or not. If Manny were to fight someone to show readiness for Floyd, maybe he should fight Broner...but I have to agree, he has nothing to prove... he's Manny Pacquiao!
His resume deserves a shot at Mayweather, but If I was Mayweather I wouldn't want Pacquaio, the KO loss is too fresh yet. Pacquiao has to avenge his loss, to Marquez.

He hasnt. Manny has uinfinished business with Marquez as well as Desert Storm. After his controversial "win" over JMM in their 3rd fight, Manny should have said to Arum "it's Mayweather or i am retiring, period"
