Should Mr. Bob Arum allow Mike Alvarado to defend his WBO Jr Welterweight title a few times before the trilogy?

I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with Bob Arum. Neither of these guys are world beaters but they are warriors. Let them take their new reputations out and make some money in a deep division before they come back together for a rubber match. I'd like to see Rios fight Matthysse and Alvarado fight maybe sergyh Rabchenko or any other of the killers at 140.

Three fights in a row with Rios and vice versa would be rough on anyone. I think that Arum is right. Most of the great trilogies, the fighters had a fight or two mixed in between the three. Let each fighter show their stuff against another opponant and set up fight number three the first quarter of 2014.

the trouble with having a few fights in between is that the 140 div has some really good fighters who would beat Alvarado and rios and if they both lose the next fight won't be as big an event ,but if they cane dig up and easy fight say eric morales then why not they both deserve a easy fight

Bob Arum "allows" nothing. He is a promotor, not a ruling body. He has money so that makes for influencing who fights who, but he couldnt enforce ANY RULE of stopping a fight from happening.

BQ:] I read an interesting article about Top Rank and Bob Arum saying that

he is interested in promoting a trilogy just not right away. He's going to let it

"marinate" for a little while and then he will make that 3rd fight happen again

with Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios. You think that's the right decision should he

give Mike "Mile High" Alvarado a chance to shine being champion and defend

his WBO Jr welterweight title at least once before fighting Brandon Rios again?
