The reason given by JMM was because people want to see Floyd fight Manny Pacquiao and not a fifth fight between them. I don't buy that and I believed the reason was he doesn't want Pacquiao to get even with him. He want to remain the fighter who KO Pacquiao and not the fighter who beat him after being kayoed. He want to cherish the memory of beating Manny Pacquiao by KO. Imagine this written on the history book.
I agree with Neymariho. From Marquez's perspective, each of the first 3 fights was debatable and he felt he won all three. There was no controversy on the fourth. JMM does not see the need to re-litigate the issue. He doesn't need the money, so it would have to be a TON of money to get him back into the ring with Pacquiao.
4 is enough, and with such a definite victory in the 4th fight he doesn't see the need for more. He would probably lose the 4th fight because he took a hellacious beating to get that win in Pac-Marquez 4.
He felt he was robbed in the first three fights (I do not blame him. I think he won at least 2/3 of the first fights). Also, he has nothing left to prove. Fought a prime Pac and past prime Pac and ended in controversial decisions before the knock out. Jmm feels satisfied with a ko. No he is not ducking anyone. Marquez is an all time great and a legend. He might fight Pac a fifth time if it is in Mexico and he gets paid more which would be a great way to go out -- defeating his rival in front of his people and retire a champion that made history (first Mexican to win 4 titles in different weight classes, something like that).
He simply wants to go out on a high note

pac just beat the undefeated prime who just toyed jmm, his name is timmy... wtf, that pee drinker is already 41, and his power just peaked and you still thinks its pee hes drinkin, fools!
pac will beat again annother undefeated champ in floyd who beat jmm, by that time the pee drinker is already 42....
