Did Broner make a disgrace of himself against Maidana..?

Adrien broner let his ego get the best of him. He is naturally a light weight but he moved to the welterweight division to follow after Floyd mayweather. The media hailed him as a future star but Marcos maidana humbled him.

He should move down to Jr. welterweight because he is too small for the welterweight division. It will give him time to develop a punch output because he have a low volume.

If Adrien broner stay at Welterweight then he is going to have more loses because those guys will walk through him. He don't have Welterweight power and they will dispose of him. They are too big and strong for the " Problem ".

The Jr. welterweight division will be a better career choice.

It seems like Broner fans are now using weight to excuse his loss, which is ironic considering he's mostly fought smaller men up to this point. His weight on fight night was 157 and by no means is that undersized when the typical welterweight enters the ring between 153-160. In fact, he was actually several pounds heavier in the ring than the other top welterweights like Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez and Porter, and I doubt Maidana was more than a few pounds heavier than that, so enough with the excuses.

Could Broner move down to jr ww? Yes, that's most likely possible. But will he have more success against the likes of Garcia, Provodnikov, Matthysse than he did against Maidana?? Doubtful. Those guys are all more proven than he is and they possess the tools to exploit his weaknesses. They're also good sized jr welterweights themselves, so he won't enjoy the size advantage that he'd become accustomed to in previous fights.

Victor Ortiz was supposed to be the next Oscar De La Hoya untill he ran into Maidana. Broner was supposed to be the next Mayweather, he too ran into Marcos Maidana.

I dont think its the end for Broner but that fight exposed some major flaws that Broner has to deal with before stepping up again. Hes too reliant on his opponents to be available for his counters and hes too low volume. Hopefully he can polish his game and comeback at 140

I will be in the minority and say Broner is 23 or 24. He stepped up in weight too fast. One loss does not undo the fact that at this young of an age he is a 3 weight division champion. He was knocked down several time and kept getting up...ending the night coming forward. To me, he can be a Problem at 140. I think Haymon/ Golden Boy/ Showtime could make a big fight out of Danny Garcia/ Broner and the winner would be a great candidate for Floyd. I think people should not declare a guy done after one loss.

Most satisfying fight I have watched this year. The guy was just waiting to be beaten, Malignaggi proved how beatable he was. Also he just does not take the game seriously, thinks he is the next Mayweather then he needs to look at his diet and conditioning when he is away from Boxing

All true, Broner needs to just stick to his sh*tty rap career.

I think he's going to come back way stronger and he's not going to lose again from now till 5-10 years or maube even never

I think his ego took a big hit. I think he genuinely thought he was as talented as Mayweather.

He lives and dies by his big cocky mouth. But i still respect that he made it that far in boxing though.

yeah what a shame

Let's be honest...

Broner was supposed to take over Mayweather's ppv's when he retired.

Let's have a look at the facts:

1) Maidana whupped Broner's ***, that is undisputed!

2) Broner looked embarrassing with regards to the ''head butt'' - In fairness, that was way over the top...

3) Broner is an idiot that will be revealed...?
