Do you think floyd regrets not fighting manny pac now?

I agree with 'Mr'. Floyd 'Xylocaine-Hands' Mayweather SHOULD have done everything back in 2009-2011 to help bring to fruition the Manny Vs Floyd bout.

1. Xylocaine-Hands became so obsessed with creating surreal blood-tests which Manny agreed to, but after there was an agreement, 2. Xylocaine-Hands RE-issued new blood-testing demands. 3. After Manny agreed to those, Xylocaine-Hands then asked for Manny to take a 40-60% wallet of the purse no matter IF Manny won! THAT was the last straw that Pacquiao would not subject himself to.

Xylocaine-Hands is a nod to his brittle hands and how Mayweather is a fraud for using this PED.

Agree with your header-question. Lots of regret.

There are many reasons why this fight never happened. Bob Arum is the biggest among those reasons. However, there is another, intangible reason. Deep down, Floyd was always bothered by how America embraced Pacquiao and made him a hero. Pacquiao is a nice guy but no one can resist the temptation to toot his own horn when the American media puts you on a pedestal.

While Pacquiao quietly thumbed his nose at Mayweather, Floyd's desire to prove that "you need me more than I need you", grew. In a form of role reversal, Mayweather found himself playing "Frazier" to Pacquiao's "ALI", not in the form of styles but status among peers. While no one hated Frazier, he still had no defense when ALI opened his mouth. The more America fell in love with Pacquiao, for what he claimed to be, the more it hated Mayweather because he never hid who he was. Like him or not, you knew where you stood with Mayweather.

Manny did agree to the drug test terms. However, Bob Arum insisted on being the promoter of both fighters, an agreement Mayweather could not accept, and with good reason. If Mayweather doesn't need a promoter, why should Pacquiao get half? Why should Mayweather not be paid as a promoter when he doesn't need one? The amazing thing is that Pacquiao didn't need one either. His loyalty to Bob Arum has always caused issues with this fight.

Believe it or not, I believe Mayweather vs Pacquiao will still happen. Here are a few reasons.

1. Pacquiao needs the money: Ever see the size of his entourage? How much is Arum REALLY taking from Pacquiao's purses?

2. Mayweather will be able to promote the fight: Neither fighter needs a promoter so why involve Bob Arum? Provided Pacquiao is impressive in dispatching Brandon Rios, there is a good chance that he will be viewed as a legitimate challenger. There are still enough people who believe Pacquiao can beat Mayweather. If he blows Rios away, he can save his career and erase "some" the stench of the loss to Marquez. ....but not all of it. Here is how that can happen.

3. IF Floyd never fights Pacquiao, there are still a "few" who will never give Floyd credit as an ATG. IF Pacquiao never fights Mayweather, he will never erase the stench of the Marquez fight. Pacquiao Needs this fight More than Mayweather does.

Hi mate

Manny is the only fighter with an offence equal to floyds defence . We all know by now the way to beat floyd is bombard him relentlessly without fail . There is only one fighter in the world that can beat floyd or atleast make it a good fight

Definitely!

10 years later, when Floyd spent all his $. When he is officially retired. All he got is his legacy, and when everyone will look back at his legacy (including himself). There will always be a big thorn that he can never taken out and that is Manny Pacquiao.

Yes, he made a lot of money last night. But he could have made twice more than that if he fought Pacquiao. Floyd could have made more than 100 million fighting Pacquiao than fighting Canelo.

I guess Pacquiao wouldn't be that big of a thorn if he would've just quietly avoid Pacquiao before, instead. He let his ego get the best of him. And then here comes his team admitting that they cherry picked his opponents (ex: instead of Margarito, they picked Baldomir). If he would have fought Pacquiao, that information would've just been erased automatically.

Sad, but the truth is 10 years from now. 99% of the boxing community will blame Floyd for the failed Mega-fight. LOL and the 1% will just hide and pretend that they moved on.

There are always two trains of thought to the debacle of the Manny/ Floyd fight; ultimately purses are the final reason for a fight. Remember for 47 minutes work he got $40,000,000 (the equivalent of $51m per hour) PLUS a percentage of the PPV rights against Alvarez.

As to regret, I don't think so. There are reasons boxers won't take a fight but that was purely down to cash.

I don't think so since Floyd already asked Pacman to fight, but Manny refused since he didn't want to give blood. Regardless, Mayweather was doing it to get more money for the fight and judging by how much he made for this fight, I don't think he really cares that he didn't fight Pacquiao. Most experts thought he would kill Manny anyway.

Edit: We have Youtube, you know. There are links where Manny expresses his unwillingness to give blood up to two weeks leading to the fight because "it disturbs training." It isn't a lie that is systematically repeated. There is video evidence, therefore it's fact. I will say that it's not the only reason and I am not solely blaming Manny for the fight not happening, but he was reluctant to give blood for a steroids test.

The link is here:

Interestingly enough, Mayweather wanted to fight Pacman. He just wanted him to take a blood test to see if he was on anything and Pacman refused. So in reality, Manny is dodging Mayweather

PACQUIAO IS STILL ASLEEP!

lol, you morons have to get over pacquiao, he's was over-hyped, catch weight king on steroids who fought guys after they sufferered huge losses. The pac you guys believe could have beat Mayweather, never really existed. it was all smoke and mirrors..just like after he looks great against rios (who just lost) you will all say he can beat mayweather. lol

Mayweather beats Manny any weight, any age, any century.

pacquiao should drop to his knees and beg mayweather for a fight at this point.

2008/9 manny > any version of floyd

Yes there's a huge fan base that hate him now, everyone boos at him every time he goes to fight this all heated up from the pacman figght.

no matter what floyd does now there will always be some people say he dodged manny and that a real champ should fight the best .

floyd probably would of beat manny and given the world what they wanted ,i wonder if floyd thinks now that he should of just fought manny picked up $80,000,000 and shut everyone up .

and floyd would of got the one thing missing from his CV a fellow great near his prime .

Floyd should be ashamed of himself for demanding so much over nothing....

tus177. pacman just needs another win over maz for it to be forgotten
