If you are a boxer, do your hands have to be registered?

If you are a boxer, MMA fighter, or does karate, do your hands/body need to be registered? Some people i ask say yes and some say no. I want to know.

Short answer-No, more explanation-No, but if you get in a fight outside of the boxing ring especially if you were to hurt someone e.g. knock out several teeth, break their jaw or crack their eye socket/orbital bone most likely you will be criminally charged with a worse form of assault. If you were to just be a tough guy with no actual boxing experience and messed someone up bad you would be charged with what is called assault 4th degree, a boxer doing the exact same thing will be charged with assault 3rd or possibly even 2nd degree which is much more serious and has almost always a prison sentence if convicted of this with out a plea bargain from the prosecutor.

I'm not completely sure about the boxing part, because I've heard several people tell me that once you go pro-you HAVE to register your hands as lethal weapons. As far as doing so in Martial Arts: You register your hands and feet when you achieve Black Belt status, or an equivalent rank. It's also required that, if faced with a physical confrontation in the street, you first warn your opponent of your Martial Arts knowledge prior to fighting. If you don't warn them, that's probably assault with a deadly weapon unless it can proven to have been self defense.

Pro yes

If you are a Professional fighter, then yes!

Not really. You just need your license to box.

Both my hands are registered sex offenders cause they rape everyone.
