Fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Marciano, and Joe Louis are still remembered nowadays. But at the same time, there are fighters like Harry Greb, Sam Langford, and Willie Pep who might not be known by everyone. Since Ali, Tyson, Pacquiao, Mayweather, De La Hoya, etc. are some of boxing's biggest names and created PPV records and huge fights, they probably will be remembered. But I think there could be fighters that will be forgotten. Maybe someone like Sergio Martinez might be forgotten 50 years from now.

Not a chance mate! If we go back over a thousand years we get great warriors like Alexandra the Great and and Achilles who really did exist who are still remembered today and are getting Hollywood movies made about them. So I have no doubt that in many, many years time great warriors like Mike Tyson, Sugar ray Robinson, and Muhhamed Ali will be remembered in much the same way that the great fighters of today are. Great heroes are never forgotten.
As long as boxing is around there will be boxing legends ,even from this era. Boxers like Bernard Hopkins ,Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather are boxers of today that will never be forgotten as long as boxing is relevant.
Everyone is forgotten at some point in time but those guys are legends and will be remembered and celebrated for many years to come.
