Neither fighters are known to be chess players today or in their spare time when they are still fighting although Ali at some points of his career was known to engage in mind games and chess war prior to and during his important fights. I will therefore give the edge to Ali despite his medical condition.
As for boxing, I think prime Ali need not throw a single punch to beat Butterbean. He will just let Butterbean tire himself out trying to catch him as he dances his way around the ring, ducks and slips his lunges. By the third round, Butterbean would be so fagged up that he retires on his stool
