Since Mayweather-Canelo is set now, what are the keys to victory for each fighter?

The top 3 things each man MUST do to win on Sept 14th are.......................

Mayweather:

There arent really three points to break down with him. The one thing I would point out is to lead with the right hand, get his respect for how hard and how fast you hit early. Once you do that and he is forced to respond..set the pace around the ring. Since Canelo will bloat up to 160+, potentially 170, a faster paced fight will only favor Mayweather. Also Canelo cannot move and punch at the same time, lateral movement freezes him completely. He can only combo punch with both feet set. Honestly short of a stray punch stunning Floyd early, it should be a typical night.

Canelo:

Really learn to cut a ring off, this is no Trout, this is the best fighter you have fought, and dont underestimate his power because he chooses not to sit on his punches. Ortiz did that and got hurt bad even before he got dropped.

Aim your punches for his chest, always. Thats your best likelyhood of hitting his head when he ducks. Also if he doesnt duck your power can drain his body.

Learn to cut off a ring, and quick. And even if its a mediocre jab, learn to master it while moving your lead foot.

Start training for fighting depleted. Its gonna happen, even if its just you running to stay in proximity to Floyd. Very likely the ring size will be enormous.

Work on SOME head movement while walking, you dont do that and Mayweather always catches people asleep. High guard doesnt work while you walk and when you are dozing thinking you cant have distance closed on you that fast.

Mayweather only needs to do one thing and that's be himself. He knows how to adjust, he knows how to win so I can't say he has to do this or that because he always adjusts. Hopefully he does not age over night.

Alvarez on the other hand

1) maintain a jab. That is the most effective punch against Floyd if use well.

2) Set up body shots. Hitting Mayweather clean on the chin or head period is next to impossible without some lucky timing.

3) Can't try to box. No one can out box Mayweather so if he tries to do that, he will lose. He needs to cut the ring off. He can't be stupid though and just walk right int oMayweather's counters. He needs to fight smart

He also needs to work on that Stamina because Mayweather can fight all night.

Floyd: 1. Box from the distance, using the jab

2. Keep the fight at ring's center

3. Don't engage

Canelo: 1. Put pressure

2. Just throw punches wherever he can land

3. Cut off the ring

For the longest time, people had been dreaming on how they'd fight and score a clear victory against Floyd. But time and time again, Money May proves them wrong.

The keys for Floyd to win

1. Just be himself

2. Be Pretty Boy all night

3. Be Floyd Mayweather jr.

The keys for Canelo to win

1. Never stop punching. Floyd is a master of angles and counter punching but you can never time a whirlwind. You just hope it stops.

2. KNOCK OUT Floyd. its a bit impossible to KO somebody like Floyd but the word "Impossible" literally says "I'm possible". Never think of outboxing. That's Floyd's game.

3. I really dunno Pancho. Many haters just dream Canelo will land a bomb on FMJ and hope he never gets up. Something Floyd wont ever let happen. IMHO MAyweather really meant to kick Alvarez's *** on the 14th of September

Potentially a great fight.

Floyd Mayweather Jr:

1. Speed, Floyd has to show enough hand speed to throw and land more shots than Alvarez.

2, Quickness, after landing shots Mayweather can't afford to get hit with counter punches.

3. Ring generalship, Mayweather must set the pace and make Alvarez react to Floyd's aggression.

Canelo Saul Alvarez:

1. Power: The great equalizer, if you can hurt or stop Floyd you can win.

2. Footwork: Alvarez must cut off the ring in order to get a chance to land shots and it must be EFFECTIVE aggression, If Canelo chases Floyd for 12 rounds but doesn't catch him he will lose and Mayweather will put another easy UD in the books.

3. Counter Punching: Alvarez must time Mayweather's lunging shots with effective counter punching in order to stop Floyd from earning another easy decision.
