Miguel cotto should take the challenge ( not because of money ) but it will benefit his legacy. If he beat Canelo then he's back in line for super fights but if he loses to Canelo then he starts over from scratch. A win over molina or kirklan will keep him in the top 10 picture.
Miguel Cotto should go with this fight instead of Martinez.
If he fights Martinez i feel they are feeding him to a bigger man looking for an easier fight.
Alvarez is smaller, slower and fights in a slower pace than Martinez.
Miguel Cotto has problems with swarmers. Alvarez is anything or everything but a swarmer.
Trout beat Cotto because of volume punches. Alvarez throws very few punches due to his stamina issues.

If it's made it will be huge. Probably the only fight in the sport that can do a million buys without Mayweather or Pacquiao's name attached to it. If Cotto intends on staying at 154 I don't see why he wouldn't want take this fight. Aside from a rematch with Mayweather no other fight is nearly as lucrative or credible and if you take their styles into consideration this looks like a very competitive, highly entertaining bout on paper much more entertaining and a closer fight than a Mayweather rematch looks. Hope Cotto accepts the offer and gives us fans a fight we want.
This is a very interesting match up I would take Cotto in this one by SD. I don't know why they would pay Cotto any where near 10 million but if someone is offering me that kind of scratch I'm fighting. It's really sad all these other races can make this kind of money and the brothers can't even get a fight. Damn I wish I had it all to do over again. I would keep my eye on the money and work towards it.
I have no problem with it. Canelo needs to bounce back from his loss to Floyd and Cotto needs to continue his comeback also following his loss to Floyd. The two are still among the best fighters at 154 lbs. and are also being groomed for bigger fights at 160 lbs. This fight will tell us who between the two could move on to fulfill these prospects.
