Best left hook in history?

Was Joe Frazier better than Tommy Morrison? Felix Trinidad better than Ray Robinson?

Arguably the single most famous left hook punch in history was when the British heavyweight Henry Cooper knocked Muhammad Ali clean off his feet.

Fortunately for Ali he was saved by the bell and then his trainer slashed one of Ali's gloves thus delaying the start of the next round and giving Ali extra time to recover.

Ali subsequently went on to win the fight

Henry Cooper's left hook was known as "Enery's Hammer".

Bob Foster's that separated Dick Tiger from his senses. It traveled less than a foot and was delivered so fast and so brutally that it distorted Tiger's face on impact.

I consider Henry Cooper's left hook that decked a young Muhammad Ali then known as Cassius Clay in early 64 as better than that neck-ringer launched by Joe Frazier against an older Ali in 71. That Cooper hook was so powerful that Ali later told the press it shook his kinfolk back in Africa! Ali was so groggy that it reportedly prompted his corner, especially his trainer Angelo Dundee to resort to some delaying tactic. But then again, Ali was very young at that time and apt to commit some first mistakes. Ali went on to stop Cooper in that fight and in their rematch some time later with Henry failing to tag him with any meaningful hooks again. Frazier had been landing his left hooks on Ali almost from the first round but the one that floored Ali was so well timed and delivered it could have kayoed any other heavies of that era or other era. But Ali shook the effects off and finished the fight on his feet.

Trinidad finishes off many of his opponents with that hook but almost always with Tito on the offensive. Robinson kayoed Gene Fulmer with that perfect hook from a highly defensive position. Robinson therefore is the better hooker.

Pacquiao also iced Hatton with a left hook but that was a fight-ender that was waiting for proper time to happen. Hatton was so surprisingly inept in that fight, especially defensively. His open jaw was an inviting target.

Henry Cooper. His left hook was called Henry's Hammer. Cooper was only a relatively small guy, but it was Henry's Hammer that floored Cassius Clay (Mohammed Ali).

If you knew how well Ali took a punch you'd know what a great shot it must have been. Ali got up but didn't know where he was and the round ended. Ali's cornermen cut his glove during the interval to give him more time to recover.

The fight was stopped when Cooper cut badly.

Joe Frazier

Everyone here has the same answer as me. Henry Cooper.

Ali got up no problems from Fraizers left hook, he didnt know what planet he was on after coopers.

Pacquiao

Floyd mayweather. He may lack power with it, but I've never seen someone throw a hook with so much speed and accuracy. He throws it like a jab.

Allan Green has to be a candidate ,take a look at his left hook:
