Does this girl I box with have genuine animosity toward me or am I overreacting?

wtf, just give it to her! you're obviously mayweathering her... stop ducking her, you have to know what she really has for you... is she drop dead gorgeous?

There's something going on for her to have given you such a punch in the stomach while sparring.

Last time I looked boxing involved 2 people trying to beat the sh1t out of each other.

You got dropped by a girl? Ridiculous

lol you got dropped by a giiiirl.

Like shook said, just give her the D.

she obviously wants sum diyuuk.give her the 4 inches and let that be the end of it lol

Does this girl I box with have genuine animosity toward me or am I overreacting?

There's this girl at my gym I practice boxing with. For quite a long time if we're both there we will always practice together and sometimes she even texts me to ask me if I'm going to be there. I'm 23 and she's young, only 20, but she is the smartest person I know. She's very talkative when we rest at practice and she's really passionate about a lot of things like the environment, animals and social justice. I think sometimes I've annoyed her making jokes to her about stuff like that and especially sometimes sexist ones, but she still says I'm her favourite person to spar with because she feels she improves the most against me.

We were sparring, which is mostly just me testing her defence from range (I'm very thin for my height as a marathon runner also), and she landed what I would swear was the hardest punch I've ever taken to my midriff, although it might just have been because I'm still sore from a long fight a couple days ago, but regardless, it was enough to ultimately floor me, although I took a couple more punches including a pretty noteworthy uppercut which dazed me a little.

We are very informal when we spar, but it would be highly customary to back off whereas she just stood right over me, even leaning on the ropes right over me which must have been an indication of blatant hostility. She asked if I was ok and I said I was fine. It's just sparring so it's not like I was in any rush to get up, but I did take about half a minute. She said to call it a day (kind of smugly, I felt) and we always hug after sparring but I turned away as I was upset by how she was acting. She rolled her eyes at me and that was just the final straw. I feel genuinely very angry at her. I can understand if maybe she has got annoyed at me because I can say silly stuff sometimes, but I am very upset by the idea of her having genuine animosity toward me, which she does, doesn't she? And I don't even want to go near that gym if she might be there.
