Floyd mayweather biggest ducker ever?

DUCK is boxing new great technique

to be undefeated you must be a DUCK ,

to be a DUCK , fans must very loyal like floyd fans threating floyd as their GOD..

He's a great fighter with an average resume due to the amount of fights he has ducked. I still think Riddick Bowe's duck of Lewis is worse, but then he went on to fight a trilogy with Evander Holyfield. Floyd is missing huge wins against ATG fighters. He's the greatest ducker I have ever known anyway.

If he's an average fighter then why is he at the helm of every sportswriters' pound for pound list? Why does he hold the record for number of PPV sales in boxing history? Why did he allow the undefeated Saul Alvarez to rehydrate to his normal weight after the official weigh in and come in to the ring roughly 13 pounds heavier than him?

He should never have spoke about Khan, that's the problem but it's not a duck, he'd quite comfortably beat Khan but we want to see him fight the WBA World Welterweight Champion who just beat up Adrien Broner rather than someone who scraped through against some bum in his last fight and then hasn't fought again for over a year, holds no world titles and knocked anyone out since Zab Judah 3 years ago now.

Oh and Bob Arum doesn't want Pacquiao to fight Mayweather, when Pacquiao starts looking after his own business then the fight can happen and he'll lose as well and then we'll all be talking about how Pacquiao was past it and how Mayweather ducked him until he slowed down and lost some of his aggression etc etc

Edit: The point I was making with the PPV numbers is why would record amounts of people pay to watch an average fighter? And you asked about the Pacquiao fight that's the only reason I mentioned it. I noticed you added to your Q and mentioned him not fighting Martinez, when was Martinez operating at 147? 2001 it was at which time Mayweather was a Super-Featherweight, and then as Martinez moved up one weight class so did Mayweather if not at the same time but the point is they have never operated at the same weight class at the same time so I don't see how he ducked him. If Mayweather never fought Canelo people would have said he is ducking him too, he fought him and beat him convincingly yet the credit is not forthcoming as per usual.

He isn't the biggest ducker, but he certainly ducked a lot of people. Now whether arum is responsible for it (at least until Floyd left top rank) or not idk. There is a lot more than meets the mind. Of course, he did call ppl like Mosley out in the early 2000's but they didn't respond. He was considered a high risk low reward until after the DLH fight. It's controversial stuff.

I wouldn't say Floyd ducked Khan.

Khan got knocked out at 140lbs, at 147lbs Floyd would destroy him but Khan has no major victories to get a Floyd fight.

Floyd is criticized for ducking; Kostya Tszyu at 140lbs, Paul Williams, Antonio Margarito and Manny Pacquiao at 147lbs. All of those would have been huge fights at the time but they didn't happen.

It's impossible to know exactly why those fights didn't happen, maybe those guys ducked Mayweather who knows.

What i do know is that Floyd is not the biggest ducker in boxing history.

The biggest ducker includes men like Riddick Bowe, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, and several other past greats.

Additional ;

@TheKing Garcia blatantly showed Khans weakness. If Floyd is willing to take a few punches, which from Khan I'm sure he can take, he can also destroy Khan.

I do agree that Paul Williams was bad for him stylistically. Williams for his time at 147lbs was a monster. He beat plaster handed Margarito and couldn't get a fight.

I agree that Floyd is not as good p4p as all of the guys you mentioned except Thomas Hearns. Hearns is great for his multiple titles but aside from knocking out a senior citizen Roberto Duran he did not do much.

That does not mean Hearns wouldn't have knocked Floyd out. Styles make fights, Hearns was also huge at 147lbs while Floyd began his career at the featherweights, in terms of greatness Floyd has the better resume.

Floyd did a great job at superfeatherweight, he fought the best there, and when he first ventured to welterweight he fought the best in Carlos Baldomir, who is no ATG but was still the best at the moment.

you lookin on too many things to prove your point...

when all you have to do is listen when floyd opens his mouth...

what kind of a fighter that everytime asked about pac, he embarass himself... even his y/a fan#1 seanG buried his head in the sand like an ostrich last time floyd talked about pacquiao... when its about pac he talks about his health so dear, he even cites ali's disease, he looks for non harmful, non harwork, low risk opponent obviously the opposite of pac, he threats about abandoning his belt so pac can have it, he make arum the issue, totally shut the door to any negotiation, for pac, everthing aint negotiable, pac aint worthy but khan was

he is the biggest ducker of this era, best example is

his words during the ortiz fight presscon "yes pacquiao, you are next"...then in an interview after the fight he said "no, I never said that"....

you be the judge

Great Boxer. Greatest Ducker.

I believe Floyd could have beaten Manny if the fight happened, but because of his loyal followers like David, Sean G, Stuck in the Mud, among others, who defends his ducking ability by insisting that he is the greatest even without proving it, and treating him as their GOD, they will get their wish, at least in their minds.

I'm starting to believe you haters just troll yahoo answers with this Floyd Mayweather BS. Get a life all of you.

He's an average fighter who has never fought anyone in top class level

ducked Pacquiao for years and now ducked Khan

he's fighting Maidana, who's no different from Guerrero and Canelo

When will he fight Pacquiao ?
