Garcia best Amir khan, Amir khan beat madaina, madaina beat ab.. Shouldn't Garcia get mayweather?

He probably would get the fight, but his team (not him) have said they don't want him at 147lb yet.

As long as Danny keeps winning, he'll be a top contender to face Floyd whenever he's ready for it.

It just does not work that way in boxing. Because it if were so, then Marquez should have been the man for Floyd after Marquez kayoed Pacquiao last December. But Marquez chose to challenge Tim Bradley who had also previously defeated Pacquiao, unseating him as WBO welterweight champion. Bradley went on to beat Marquez and by virtue of that he should be the man for Floyd. But that's not happening also. This is another incontrovertible proof that the Arum-Golden Boy feud is not limited to Floyd-Pacquiao.It also covers a wide range of fights that the fans also want to happen but cannot be because of the said feud like Garcia-Provodnikov as one here suggested.

Now as to the question, what makes Floyd's position unique and distinctly different from Pacquiao is that as a co-promoter, he can choose his opponent and it is based largely on that opponent who has the most potential to sell the fight with him. The main consideration in the choice of opponent is no different from Arum except that Arum has the only and final say notwithstanding the supposed stature of Pacquiao and that unlike Floyd, Arum has just a lean line-up of possible opponents to choose from hence we are even hearing of a possible 5th fight with Marquez apart from a rematch with Bradley. Arum had to dig deep to get blownup lightweight Brandon Rios as Pacquiao's comeback foe and is even considering junior welterweight titlist Provodnikov for Pacquiao in case Bradley would balk at his expected lower share of the income in the projected rematch.

Apart from Khan being the more established name and the bigger draw than Garcia as of now, the fact is Floyd has a wider array of fighters under the Golden Boy stable to choose from.and hence enjoy the luxury of choice to fulfill his six-fight contract with Showtime. It's just okay for him not to hurry or be hasty in his selection of viable opposite in the remaining four fights under Showtime. And I think Garcia will be among his sure opponents by 2015 if Garcia keeps on winning including a establishing fight or two at welterweights.

I think Lara is the most credible opponent that Mayweather can face.

Pacquiao obviously would be the best but there is no appetite on Floyd's behalf to make the fight happen.

No because Garcia has never fought at 147lbs and there are other top fighters at 140lbs that can give him a challenge.

Personally i think Ruslan Provodkinov would beat Danny. Ruslan almost kayod Bradley & Bradley did allot more at 140lbs than Danny.

Oscar de la Hoya got a draw with Mayweather, Pacman tko Oscar de la hoya.

Cotto broke Mayweathers nose, Pacman ko Cotto.

Pacman a record 8 division champion, Mayweather a 6 division champion.

Pacman 2x fighter of the year, fighter of the decade. Mayweather only 1 time fighter of the year.

Conclusion; Pacquiao, or at least Timothy Bradley, should get the fight.

I'm NOT saying that Pacman is better than Mayweather, I'm saying that there are more deserving fighters at 147lbs and the fight should be made, no excuses.

More like shouldn't Floyd pick Garcia over Khan.

Its not because Garcia has never fought @ 147 (JMM jumped from 135 to 145 OR Hatton jump from 140 to 147), its because like he said. He is looking for certain opponents. Certain meaning some type of advantage over someone.

Paper rock scissor.
