What is next for Saul Alvarez?

Well Miguel Cotto is back with Top Rank so that's out of the question.

He can still fight any of the top 10 Jr. Middleweights in the division and

he would still be a draw. Erislandy Lara, Alfredo Angulo, Carlos Molina

and even the winner of Demetrius Andrade vs. Vanes Martirosyan also,

a rematch with Austin "No Doubt" Trout there is no shame is losing to

Floyd Mayweather Jr. he just needs to go back to the drawing board. I

wouldn't mind seeing a superfight with Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez and

Saul Alvarez at Junior Middleweight providing that fight can take place..

I think he'll come back strong. He didn't take a serious physical beating and he's still young. He'll likely take the rest of the year off. Then I'd like to see a Trout rematch but his team will probably want a big money fight for him like Cotto or get him a shot at Molina's IBF strap, both fights I think Canelo could win. I don't think they'll put him in there with a high risk, low reward guy like Lara right away.

BIG... he is just 23... you think the floy fight is a setback for him.... man he profit a lot from it, its the most golden sparring he could ever had...he took some golden boxing lesson from floyd plus a golden $15M for dancing along w/ floyd, what else can you ask for???... man we all know how floyd aint even considering fighting him for a long time... they made canelo's size as an excuse... so canelo offered the catchweight, man he aint even up there when floyd was toying w/ him, no game plan, no power, no energy, he's went up there, box a bit, get it over w/ and take the $15M..... BIG, really BIG!!!!

Canelo is still a very young guy only 23. He is growing from fight to fight.

Some fights for him would be a fight with Carlos Molina which I feel would be a great fight & perhaps Miguel Cotto.

That said He won't lose another fight in his career I guarantee it. This loss doesn't hurt his star appeal either.

Canelo just had the biggest payday of his career so I think he'll take about a year off and enjoy the fruits of life then maybe have a comeback fight in Guadalahara against a no name before he gets back into the thick of things.

He is going to take a rest from boxing and take a crack at his first true passion which is acting. He is planning on taking on the role of Opie in the broadway production of "Mayberry" (the andy griffith show) . In this version he will also get to wear a dress. It is rumored that oscar de la hoya is very jealous and may un-retire to fight canalo.

He should fight Cotto. Then fight some of the guys at 160. He's too big for 154 anyway. A fight with him and Golovkin would be awesome.

He can fight Miguel cotto, Carlos Molina trout rematch,

That's the only loss he's gonna suffer in a long time mark my words.

Rest and heal

They say he'l prob move up and if he does he should fight golovkin.it would be huge
