Also Russian champ Beibut Shumenov is a lawyer and hes set to face one of the best American fighters Bernard Hopkins (thats his pic BTW) who spent most his childhood in prison and learned to box there.
I know Mikey Garcia is a cop, but thats not as impressive as Klitchko or Shumenov. Im sure its normal for Europeans to be this way but in US or Mexico its rare
Every boxer is different.
You have some, like Floyd Mayweather Jr. [the current top p4p fighter], who dropped out of Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, MI in his senior year. I think this is the most common situation for most top boxers.
Then you have others, like Vitali Klitchko [heavyweight champion of the world], who has a PHd from Taras Shevchenko National University. He is also the leader of the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform and a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Boxer Juan Diaz is another current boxer who is said to be good in academics.
Sugar Ray Leonard [one of the greatest ever] was a very intelligent young kid, he had a scholarship for the University of Maryland but he turned pro because his father got very ill [and to pay the bills he had to go pro].
Both Klitschko Brothers have Doctorates and speak 4-5 languages fluently and Avid chess players, Vitali is now a politician
Pretty impressive for guys that get punched in the head for a living

Wladimir Klitschko -PhD in Sports Science
Manny Pacquiao- a doctorate of humanities, business administration
Juan MAnuel MArquez - accounting degree

I mean do they even finish school? Or have any Degrees?
I know the pro boxers start at an early age so I'm guessing they wouldnt much much time at all for those things. Or maybe I'm wrong?
