If Mayweather moved up to Middleweight and fought a prime Marvin Hagler how long would it last?

Maybe one round.

Sugar Ray Leonard came out of retirement and challenged Hagler for the WBC middle weight crown. Many claimed Leonard did beat Marvin including the two judges at ringside. I was the lone judge who favored HAgler. LOL.

If Mayweather moved up to Middleweight and fought a prime Marvin Hagler how long would it last?

OK, enough of the "forty tried and forty failed". If Hagler touches Floyd, he'll get kayoed. But in hindsight, i still see this with Money on his bicycle and the MArvelous one chasing him all around. But Mayweather doesnt have the same ring savvy as Leonard. The shoulder roll wont do good if those shoulder got broken by HAgler's crisp punches. The blueprint to beat HAgler (if it's actual beating) was already shown to the world by Sugar. If Floyd can get past till the last round, he'll escape with a split decision win, Im no fan of the run and gun style but a win is still a win.

FINAL VERDICT

-KO for Hagler or SD for Floyd in another yet highly controversial win

Hagler built his career in middleweight, while Mayweather has only had 10 fights at 147lbs and above, with only 2 of them being at 154lbs, both were competitive [one a split ud]. At 154lbs Floyd never fought a top notch primed fighter except Alvarez now.

Hagler is one of the greatest middleweights ever, the International Boxing Research Organization ranks him #6 of all time only below Harry Greb, Sugar Ray Robinson, Stanley Ketchel, Mickey Walker & the great Carlos Monzon.

Hagler was a boxer-puncher who could take a punch. He was a middleweight Tyson except that he didn't tire. Sugar Ray Leonard carried his power to the middleweight division but he couldn't get Hagler off him, he only survived because he was molded after Ali in that he danced.

Mayweather does not dance and he has only had 2 ko's out of his 8 fights in 147 and 0 ko's in both his fights at 154lbs. To beat a swarmer you need some power to make him respect. Cotto [questionable chin] and Oscar never truly respected Floyds power in their fights, luckily they weren't swarmers.

Floyd doesn't fight middleweights today so to imagine him with a top 10 middleweight of all time is not fair for him.

Hagler ko round 6

Sugar Shane Mosley almost knocked Mayweather out.

Oscar De la Hoya had Floyd on trouble along the ropes at times during their fight.

Zab Judah knocked him down (or, it should have been ruled a knockdown) with a southpaw right hand.

No disrespect to Pretty Boy, but Hagler would knock him out, and this is coming from a Leonard fan who can't stand hearing how Hagler was "robbed" against Leonard.

You're a moron

Hagler was a Middleweight. Floyd started off his career at 130 lbs and before that was competing at 126 lbs.He is now, late in his career, a natural Welterweight who can barely even make Light Middleweight(but cannot make 154 lbs) How does that make him a chicken? He has went up in weight 5 times..

Five rounds. Floyd would fake an injury and stay on his stool at the start of the 6th rather than get KO'd.

Floyd would have dodged him because Hagler was winning to much but I'd have gone with Floyd anyhow because he 'd have been to fast of hands for Hagler.
