2 Miles is not enough. You run 3-5 miles.

What Nightmare123 said. Run 3+ miles, and keep a high but steady pace, you should be aiming for about 1 mile every 6,7,8 minutes. You should be running 3-4 days a week, they dont have to be long endurance based cardio runs everyday, you can throw in one day for sprints or hills. Also whenever you do a drill that involves punching, try to punch as many times. Shadowboxing, Sparring, or the heavybag aim to throw atleast 120 punches a round. Dont throw them at 100%, you will gass withing 45 seconds, throw at 60 or 70%, throw fast punches, and every once in a while mix in some heavy combos, also make sure your moving around the bag and moving your head, thats a killer cardio workout. The best training for a high work rate is getting in the ring and sparring high paced rounds. Good luck.

the best way to build up ring stamina is to punch the bag for a whole round STRAIGHT without stopping nomatter how tired you get, and also you need to spar MORE atleast 3-4 rounds straight, the key to building stamina is to KEEP TRYING once you are tired, just fight through the pain and the next day youll feel alot better in the ring, running is more for keeping your movement up while in the ring, but it still wont help AS MUCH(but helps alot) with actual fighting stamina, you have to get in the ring more and for longer

You need to run much farther than 2 or 3 miles, you need to run 5 miles or so.

Plus you need to run fast for the time of the round, as in 1 or 2 minutes then jog for recovery for 1 minute, to replicate the time you are fighting. If you are fighting 3, two minute rounds during your 5 mile run sprint for the length of the round, then jog easy for 1 minute then repeat the sprint, if you fight for 3 rounds do this 5 to 6 times.

You must condition your body to work hard for the fight, going easy is not going to work.

Im and AMATEUR boxer. i only fight 3 rounds for i think 1:30 to 2:00 , im not even an open fighter yet. i have okay stamina now , ive been running 2 miles and working the bag hard but i dont spar much. i want to have a high work rate in the ring how can i get my stamina there? the fight is in 3 weeks
