Sometimes it is just luck if you become champion or not. Do you agree?

I agree. I remember in 1981, Rolando Navarrete came in as a last minute replacement as challenger for the WBC Super Featherweight title held by Cornelius Boza-Edwards. With only about 2 weeks to prepare, he traveled to Italy and knocked out the Ugandan in the 5th round. That lucky break began the short-lived fame of Navarrete.

I other words your saying if a champion loses his title to the challenger it's luck ,so i have to disagree. What about when Floyd Mayweather won his first title against Genaro Hernandez ,or when Mike Tyson won his first title against Trevor Berbick being promising prospects ,they were challengers but also were the favorites to win. A lot of up and coming prospects with no title have been the favorite to win over the champion/title holder.

Yes, the time era in which you fought is very important, so luck as to when you were born makes all the difference.

There is a long list of guys who fought when Ali dominated the heavyweight division that would have been champions in other eras.

There are also champions who would not have been a champ in any other time era.

some fighters are unlucky to be around at the wrong time or have the wrong management take herol graham who was a brilliant boxer but was around at the time of marvin hagler who didn't want any thing to do with him then later he's boxing julian jackson ears off then only to get caught by one of the hardest punches i have ever seen and he's out cold . or pat cowdell who 2 title fights came against salvidor sanchez and azumah nelson two of the best feather weights ever .

i agree with you to a point. but..champions make their own luck.a real champion will forge his path. and if things dont go their way at first, they dig deep, keep pushing and trying until they get what they want.

If I became a champion it would be nothing less than a miracle.

Luck has nothing to do with it you will win, when you have prepared to win mentally and physically. There is no such thing as luck .

Example, Earnie Shavers KO Ken Norton and Jimmy Ellis in 1 round. Both of those guys were champions, yet Shavers was not. The same thing can say with David Tua who beat Ruiz, Rahman, Maskaev and Moorer. All 4 were champions but not Tua.
