I want to do boxing but my vision is poor?

You just got to bear with it. Seeing punches coming isn't hard to do without glasses. I used to not use glasses in the ring and didn't have any trouble doing so. I also never wear them when I work out and I have pretty crappy vision.

Get Lasik. Really.

.

I fought for six years with bad vision. Sometimes I fought with contacts. Sometimes I didn't. Then I quit boxing for six years.

.

Six years after I quit, I got Lasik surgery. I was still in good shape and decided to take up boxing again, but just for occasional sparring.

.

Six years away convinced me that it wasn't my thing anymore. However, I boxed enough to know that, had I gotten Lasik earlier, I would have performed better.

ever watch never back down 2? the boxer guy had a problem, if he took too much damage to his right eye, he would go blind in it, but he just couldn't let go, so he went and switched stances, making the right eye harder to hit, it was his choice, and he was willing to take the risk, obviously in the movie the guy was a genius and managed to reach the end of the film without going blind. The case is a bit different for you, but if you can see a persons fists than you can box. Going a few hours a day without glasses never killed anyone,

My vision is terrible. It's just something you'll have to figure out.

I used to spar w/ my contacts in even though everyone told me not to lol. Once or twice they ripped, but that's the worst thing that's ever happened to me in regards to that.

Honestly, when I'd take them out it wasn't very difficult at all. Vision is overrated anyway.

You need 20/20 vision to fight competitively. No worries though. Modern medical procedures such as laser/lasic procedures can take care of that problem.

I use glasses too and I box before.

Trust me is not that hard because your opponent is big and its gonna be close....you will see the punches he throw.

I think you can do boxing, just for daily practice.

I have to wear glasses permanently and i don't think you are allowed contacts for boxing. And I can't do laser vision because I am not 21 years old yet... Why does there have to be obstacles with everything i want to do? :(
