I've been wanting Keith Thurman to step up more. Thurman vs Maidana has a certain intrigue factor.
But Marquez is my answer.
Maidana has recently converted his style to more of a boxer puncher than the straight up brawler he was before, with the evident power he has I think he could go after anyone in the division. But I definitely agree with Topica Tapoca, Marquez-Maidana sounds great!
I'm sure Lopez will be a tough fight, I fully expect a win for Maidana but I expect Lopez won't give up easily and will last as long as he can.
Marquez definitely and maybe if Kell Brook wins his title fight then Maidana could get a shot at his title, I'd be curious to see if Brook could keep Maidana under control and I imagine it would be like Brook - Jones but Kell being 100 % and so would Maidana.
Adrien Broner. It's obvious Broner is beating Paulie so yeah... I'd love Maidana to take on Floyd but I think Floyd would beat him. Maidana is way to slow for that but who knows :) I'll root for Maidana, that's for sure. I think a rematch with Khan would be great too. I would also enjoy Maidana vs Bradley/Provodnikov. Maidana vs Brandon Rios would be a huge fight as well!
There is quite an amount of fights I'd like Maidana to take but if I'd had to say one then I'd go with Broner. Someone needs to get Broner to lose that dumb attittude and I think Maidana is the guy to do it.
Assuming Lopez wins instead of Maidana then I'd make the same choices except that instead of Broner as priority, I'd like Khan. I don't know, I just find Khan-Lopez an interesting match-up...
if he can beat lopez then he deserves a rematch with khan.
