First of all, Chavez didn't simply wobble Martinez, he was on the brink of stopping him. And if Canelo were to drop and and almost stop Mayweather in a similar fashion, you'd better believe it will be a big deal considering Mayweather's never even been dropped from a punch. In any event, no one can force Mayweather to do anything he doesn't want to. He's the one who calls the shots after all (ahem catchweight). And I doubt Mayweather would agree to a rematch if he wins every round, let alone if he nearly gets stopped by him.
My take is that their fight should have been set for next year yet because Canelo still needs further seasoning. Hence if Canelo could threaten Mayweather for much of the fight and wobble the American fighter in at least a round in dropping a decision to him in their scheduled September bout, I am open to a rematch in 2014. By then, I think Canelo would have better chances of beating Floyd counting on this experience.
Those people screaming for a rematch were stupid because Martinez dominated Chavez for 11 rounds straight. 1 round and 1 lucky punch is no reason to even consider a rematch.

If Alvarez wobbles Mayweather then he wobbles him. if that's his only accomplishment in the fight then there should be no rematch. If he wins two rounds then there should be no rematch because that would mean Mayweather won 10. Only way there should be a rematch is if Alvarez makes it a close fight. If it's a one sided fight then there is no point.
