Get a couple of friends and some gloves and see how you match up. It is so much fun I used to do it around that age, and if you still enjoy it and want to spend some money on it look up certain programs in you area. It is not going to be cheap though.

Do NOT listen to Nate Dog. Here's what'll happen:

If you buy gloves and start fist fighting without knowing what you're doing only two outcomes are possible.

1.) Somebody will get badly injured. Think about it, you don't have to injure someone's face, it's much easier to break the small bones in your hand or wrist and then you'll never be able to box.

2.) Somebody will get mad. Whether it's you or someone you're boxing, the loser of the fight could get angry and either throw the gloves off or not be your friend anymore or could even press charges. It happens. And side note if you do decide to box with friends: DO NOT VIDEO TAPE IT. AT ALL. There's been several cases of teens boxing with gloves on camera and all kids involved getting charges pressed even if the kids weren't hurt.

Now HERE'S what you need to do to get started in boxing. Google search boxing gyms in your area and try a few out. Simple as that, your coach will teach you everything you need to know.

go to boxinggyms.com and locate a gym near you .Go there and talk to the trainers about instruction, gym prices, then you'll at 18 be able to enter amateur tournaments.

put an ad in your local newspaper, check the internet for local defense classes,

Hey guys want to get in to it, love watching it on T.V so I've decided to get off my *** and go try it myself no idea where to start though? what should i do? any help is appreciated oh and if it helps i'm in the Auckland region in New Zealand
