Is Khan's chin really to blame?

Tommy Hearns also had a suspect jaw not to mention a fragile body but he went on to win world titles at 147, 154, 160, 168 and 175 lbs. taking on muscular, hard-hitting tough fighters. He was only stopped thrice in his career by Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Iran Barkley and each time he came back magnificently. I think his strength lies in his knowing how to use his height and reach advantage in most of his fights, relying on his above average boxing skills. I consider his losses to Hagler and Barkley as the fruit of his folly since he dared slug it out with dreaded punchers; he could have fared better and even won had he elected to stick and move especially versus Hagler. He was apt to be cocky and so in love with his punching power. But if he put his warrior mentality in rein and box intelligently, he wins most of the time as he can also score a kayo if opportunities present themselves.

The trouble with Khan is that he is not known as very strong in any particular aspects of the game although on the overall, he is a very good fighter with very good offense and offensive arsenal in his disposal including a great body punch ( which he does not use often, I wonder why ). His chin is suspect but what makes him vulnerable is his poor defense and his susceptibility to be lured to a slugfest. He obviously lacks the smarts and the patience to wage a disciplined fight based on prepared fight plans.

Debatable. He did take maidanas shots and he's never been knocked out cold. But Prescott stopped him easily and so did Garcia after he hit him with a decent shot. Diaz and a Scottish fighter called willie limond rocked him badly and he was kept away from big punchers for most of his title fights. His chin indefinitely isn't good but I think it's blown out of proportion, I've seen worse.

Khan's glass chin is a myth. The problem is that he gets caught throwing reckless combinations and tries to get up too quickly. Against Danny he was too anxious to shut up his dad and was throwing combinations from the opening bell, every single time Danny was trying to time him with big hooks but they were just missing, a knockout in that fight was inevitable and Danny eventually timed a bizarrely thrown uppercut hook combination by Khan.

We want to see Mayweather wrappe khan for our money.

I think it's just poor defense.

He did well against Maidana, who we all know is a dangerous fighter. He took Lamont Cheaterson's lethal uppercuts. Prescott, Garcia, and Diaz have been the only ones to knock him down. Could it just be poor defence, or maybe bad luck?
