Is jumping very good?

Thats kind of how i am. When i get hit hard, i jump back and move around. When that happens, you just need to attack him but be wise with your energy! Going in guns blazing on him isnt the best idea first round.

Speed wise, its all on how well you train. You just need to keep training and youll get that speed!

Jumping has no place inside the boxing ring, How can anyone get any leverage/unless you are jumping from the floor to get leverage in the punch? In boxing it is not about jumping and hitting it is about hitting and not getting hit. Get back to the basic fundamentals and if you do not have a knowledgeable boxing trainer-GET ONE, if this is not addressed immediately you are going to become a palooka that at best will be a durable opponent that always falls short, and takes 2 place in every fight-Good luck!

Awful answers so far. Don't jump during a fight because it wastes energy. Guard up at all times is better.

1. While jumping it would be very difficult to:

a. use any other defensive moves, or,

b. counterpunch.

2. Increase speed: http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oG...

Are you an oriental boxing kid? Yellow fighters should use their fast feet alot during a fight and drag the fight. Duck and run most of the time when the attack is coming. Try southpaw.

Dunno but it's fun on a trampoline
