Mayweather Fans: Who can you say that Mayweather has legitimately ducked throughout his career?

And by "ducked," I mean fighters that you believe Mayweather should have fought, but didn't for reasons that are either mostly or entirely due to him.

Antonio Margarito ,but he claimed he turned the fight down because he was offered only 8 million to fight him and offered 12 million to fight Sharmba Mitchell ,at that time i think Antonio Margarito was too big and too aggressive for Mayweather ,it would have been similar to Mayweathers' first fight with Jose Louis Castillo but even more relentless than him.

Floyd Mayweather tried to fight Kosta Tszyu when he was in his prime but Tszyu didn't want the fight back then because Mayweather was a high risk low reward back then ,that's why Tszyu went and ffought Ricky Hatton instead.

@ David

Not fighting and ducking are two different things.

LOL! Did you fail english class. Not figthing=> Avoiding=> Dodging=> Stepping to the side=> Evading=> Ducking.

All the same meaning but spelled and pronounce differently. Its called a Synonyms.

Go back to school Dumb@ss, sorry i meant David.

"I would say Maragrito, that's it".........really George Bush? From August 21 of 1999 to May of 2005, Kostya Tszu ruled the Light Welterweight Division. He won the vacant WBC belt in 1999 by beating Miguel Angel Gonzales, added the WBA Super World Light Welterweight Title in February of 2001 by beating Sharmba Mitchell when Mitchell declared himself unable to fight in the 7th round, thus giving Tszyu an unlikely type of knockout. He added the IBF Light Welterweight Title in November 3rd of 2001 by knocking out Zab Judah in the second round.

In May 22 of 2004, Floyd Mayweather entered the Light Welterweight division. He could have taken on Kostya Tszyu. Instead he fought DeMarcus Corley and Henry Bruseles in an eliminator tournament to win the vacated WBC Light Welterweight Title.

And Pacquiao, c'mon accept it. The drug-test and purse demands were all smokescreens by Floyd. He had the chance to make 100 mill and he didn't take it. 2 reasons why? Either he has another job to make a lot of money or he is ducking someone.

jh...by your definition...I will only say 1 guy.

I don't think Floyd ducked any of those Top Rank guys (Pacquiao, Margarito, or Cotto)...he just couldnt do business with Bob Arum. The way Arum and Golden Boy can't do business should let you know this was not all Floyd. Asking Floyd to go from Super Featherweight to fight Sergio Martinez at Middleweight is silly. That's not ducking. It's a choice. As far as a prime Shane, Floyd wanted him and he ducked Floyd (do your homework).

The one fighter Floyd could have fought and did not was Paul Williams. I felt he would've been a tougher matchup for Floyd than Pacquiao. His reach and work rate worried me, but I wanted that fight.

Prime Shane Mosley

Antonio Margarito

Paul "The Punisher" Williams

Manny Pacquiao

Amir Khan (Before Prescot loss)

Sergio Martinez

I would have liked to see Floyd fight Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams (when he was hot, being a full head taller than Mayweather), as well as a prime Kosta Tszyu.

... Presently, I believe Floyd would rather pass on a catch weight fight with Sergio Martinez.

... And due to Pacquiao's diminishing performance, I believe that fight will be made. Less perceived risk, same reward.

If anything people know Floyd will answer to a public call out, just like if someone tells you on a street corner they want to fight you.

Ricky Hatton called Mayweather out when he was retired. Hatton should have kept his mouth shut.

Shane chased Floyd down cause he thought Floyd was beginning to miss a step, though Shane avoided him completely and was getting his a$$ handed to him in higher weight classes by Winky Wright.

Guerrero went all over the place chasing him down, calling him out. Another undeserving B level fighter Floyd shouldnt have wasted his time with but cant back down.

Aside from the obvious, the only person I see Floyd didnt put in the ring was Margarito, of which I cant blame him. For one he would have torched Margarito probably easier than his previous fighters because hes flatfooted and leads with his face. AND until the Cotto fight Margarito wasnt that much of a draw. Purists knew who he was but no one else really cared about him. Plus it turns out history will end up validating Floyds decision NOT to fight him.

But Id never say he ducked any.

I would say *Margarito* and that's it......

.Every since floyd left top rank it would seem he been ducking those fighters but the fact of the matter is floyd was offered 8 millon to fight margarito but he pursued more fighting Baldamir leaving top rank and staring a bitter feud with BOB ARUM bob arum would use floyd mayweathers name to promote his fighters saying he scared of them from cotto even shane mosley

Cotto said on ESPN before the cotto-mayweather fight that he never pursued a mayweather fight while with top rank...when cotto left top rank the cotto fight was able to be made

Manny Pacquiaou-well here are the negotiations no one to blame but bobarum

One that stands out is Margarito back in 2006. The fight was basically done but he turned it down to fight Baldomir.

It makes a lot of sense to take the easier fight for a bigger payday and the Ring Magazine Welterweight Title, so I understand why he did it. I don't think Margarito would have stood a chance against him. It would have been just like the Gatti fight, except it probably would have gone 12 rounds. Margarito was very slow and his one punch power is way overrated.

PACQUIAO.Mayweather ducked this guy on his prime. He demanded full random blood testing which Manny eventually agreed but Floyd opened up some issues like the "purse split".

Floyd was really scared to the "prime manny",a relentless punching dynamo that throws punches in bunches with cruel intentions!!!And........Mayweather doesnt have the power in his punches to frustrate manny from coming to him.

Not fighting and ducking are two different things. He never ducked anyone.

He called out many guys who never agreed to fight him. He called out Mosley and De La Hoya when they were both younger. Neither fought him.

He called out Kostya Tszyu, never fought him. Cotto and him were both part of Top Rank and Arum never made it happen. Same with Margarito.

And by "ducked," I mean fighters that you believe Mayweather should have fought, but didn't for reasons that are either mostly or entirely due to him.

Some fights can never be agreed upon...

If Mayweather had fought Pacquaio, there is always somebody else waiting... (Now it's Alvarez I believe)

The old saying rings true...

''you can please some of the people, some of the time, but you can't please all the people, all of the time''

That's a true saying.

LOOK AT EM SIZZIES. THEY WONT ADMIT THAT ESE
