Miguel Cotto vs Sergio Martinez? Who wins?

Even though Martinez has slowed down, so has Cotto. Plus Cotto has to move up in weight which will be another big factor. Martinez is a slick boxer puncher, counter puncher. Cotto is a pressure fighter but can also box, but I think Cotto will try to apply pressure but Martinez will be moving laterally throughout the fight. Everytime Cotto tries to come in, Martinez will nail him like he did to Paul Williams when he tried to come in. If Cotto gets discouraged and doesnt apply enough pressure, Martinez will use his in and out movement and hit Cotto with hard shots while dancing around the ring and getting out of range of Cottos punches. It will be very easy for Martinez to use his in and out movement against Cotto because he has a height and speed advantage, as well as a good jab. Martinez was able to use his in and out movement against Kelly Pavlik effectively in spots in the fight, and Kelly was 6 foot 2 or 6 foot 1 I believe, im sure he can do that at will against Cotto. By the late rounds if Cotto starts to tire, Martinez will finish him, kind of like how Margarito did, or how Mayweather almost did. Martinez has a few late stoppages and he doesnt tend to fade down the stretch. I have Martinez with a 10th or 11th round TKO, dominating most of the rounds before the stoppage.

I cant see Cotto winning this fight. No way. Cotto cant outbox Martinez, Martinez has a better jab, speed and movement. Cotto cant apply pressure to Martinez, as Martinez has faced some serious pressure fighters (P. Williams, K. Pavlik, JCC Jr) and all of them had a size advantage, which Cotto doesnt, and he counters them all beautifully and even moves in gets off a flurry and moves out.

If Cotto wants to have success he should try to catch Martinez as Martinez comes in, Martinez tends to come in unbalanced and sets himself up for a knockdown due to bad balance, if Cotto can capitalize on this, and get Martinez weary of that, he might be able to neutrilize Martinezs in and out movement. Also if Cotto every gets the chance to get Martinez against the ropes, hammer to the body! If he does that he can neutrilize Martinez movement and speed and then the fight can become more interesting. I find it unlikely for Martinez to end up on the ropes, his movement is too good and his size can help him get out of a potential situation.

Martinez TKO RD. 11

Floyd by UD 117-111

IMO, Cotto takes too much punishment and his skin doesn't hold up well, therefore, it's a TKO stoppage in round 8 with Martinez the winner.

Cotto was weak against Mayweather, got a cheapshot victory against Margarito by targeting his injured eye rather than fight, and ducked Canelo Alvarez. Biggest coward in boxing.

Sergio martinez will win by a late stoppage. I also have Floyd winning by UD.

1. Martinez UD due to Cotto's durability.

2. Floyd KO'es Maidana somewhere in the first half. Floyd would then scream " That's for my lil brother. mofuckah... HOHOHOOOO!!!"

Its in the script.lol

I'm just hoping for a non-fixed fight, with no referee bias and fair scoring by the judges.

I think Sergio will win by UD, and I think Floyd will "win" by UD.

I THINK MARTINEZ IS TOO STRONG FOR COTTO. MARTINEZ TKO IN 10. MIKE PETERSON

cotto via scorecards

floyd? not interested

Who do you think is going to win the fight ? Why? Im a big fan of Miguel Cotto but i really doubt he can defeat Martinez.. He's just too small for Sergio but what do you guys think? Any predictions?

& also Mayweather vs Maidana?
