Hello sir and yes I believe that this fight is personal but not just to avenge his brother's defeat but to really step up in competition and show what he's made of. This is a very anticpated fight betwween two very talented fighters as it should be. I believe that Alvare has the obvious power advantage and is a very aggressive and strong and Trout has the better hand speed and natural boxing skills. As they say styles make fights and this will be further proof of it. Of course there is a lot on the line for both men as far as their prospective careers go and the winner will be a step closer to being among the best in the world. I can see this fight going several different ways with Trout possibly boxing to a decision win or Alvare catching up to him somewhere between the 9-12 rounds and winning by TKO. Either way it should be a very close fight.
Won't make a difference. The reason Canelo should be fighting is not to avenge his brother who I did not know existed till the Cotto-Trout All Access program. He should fight to prove that he is a legit 154 guy worthy of recognition and just a GBP hype. Come one, an old Mosley and Josesito Lopez -_- It's obvious Canelo is talented but after a 2012 as bad as that, no wonder people doubt him. The Trout fight should be personal, also, because Trout stole the super-paycheck Cotto-Canelo would have won :P
I'm sure its motivating. I rember Chavez Jr basically went on a revenge tour trying to fight all the fighters who beat his dad when he was over the hill (Grover Wiley taking the worst beating). This fight is going to come down to tactics more than sheer will. Canelo will have to do all the things he normally does well, even better. Trout is a very clever fighter and one who, if you let get warmed up can make you look absolutely foolish.
It should be a good motivation for Alvarez, but I just think the better Alvarez is, the better Trout will be. I think Trout will be too clever and slick for Alvarez. Trout will up his game and show that he's the real deal.
