Pacquiao and Mayweather: Both have up coming fights against Algieri and Maidana. Who has the easier assignment? Who has

Mayweather has the easier assignment, having fought Maidana once already. This doesn't mean it will be an easy fight for Mayweather or that he's guaranteed to win.

.

Anyone who thinks Pacquiao has an easy assignment in front of him is mistaken. I can see Pacquiao having many of the same problems with Algieri that Ruslan Provodnikov had. Pacquiao is obviously faster than Provodnikov. However, he's still prone to problems against defensive fighters. And he STILL has that one nagging problem with leaving himself WAY off balance whenever he misses with a right hook.

.

It would appear that Mayweather has more to lose, with his record and marketability. However, I think Pacquiao actually has more to lose. Here's why.

.

Given the styles, it's actually probably that Maidana could take a close decision, even if it's likely that Mayweather will beat him again. Because his style is difficult to score, Maidana would likely turn the fight into a messy, foul-infested scoring nightmare.

.

People are so fixed on Floyd losing that it's possible that judges can be swayed or even biased. Either way, the loss wouldn't hurt Floyd's marketability at all, only his undefeated record. However, people would pay royally to see if Floyd can regain the title.

.

Regarding Pacquiao, I don't think he can afford a loss to Algieri. In the eyes of the paying public, it would be just another loss, this time to a relatively unknown fighter. That's three losses in recent memory.

.

A loss to Algieri would render the terrible decision to Bradley irrelevant. Bradley's mother knows he lost that fight. However, as time passes, an "L" is just an "L". People no longer care about the Why or How. You can't dispute the loss to Marquez. Call it a luck punch if you will but it's still a loss.

.

Now a loss to Algieri would only give the strong belief that Pacquiao just doesn't have it anymore. Champions win no matter what and he would have lost three times in less than three years. Pacquiao's marketability would suffer tremendously from such a loss. On the other hand, Mayweather's stock would remain the same or rise because all the people who want to see him lose would suddenly want to see if he can reverse the decision. Some would want to see Maidana take the hat-trick. Either way, they'd pay to see a third fight.

Pacquiao have the easier fight, those who say he doesn't just Pacquiao fans trying to justify this fight. Algieri is a lightweight coming, Maidana out weighed Floyd by 20 + pounds. The last question shouldn't have to be asked, if Maidana wins this fight he will be both the welterweight and Junior Middleweight champion. Maidana could walk away with all 4 of Floyd's belts

Algieri's style is new to Manny Pacquiao and Maidana vs Floyd is a rematch. To say that Maidana gave Floyd a hard time the first time they fought is hilarious and just made to justify the match up. The first fight was just shove to the fans throats much more the rematch.

Both have a lot to loss especially the fans who want to see them fight and a Pacquiao's loss to Algieri means his fight with Floyd is off if not already off while Mayweather Jr. will loss his precious zero and will expose him as a fraud if he is still not considered as one. I would say both winnings have the same degree of importance except that Pacquiao have more of a chance of losing to Algieri because of unfamiliar style for Manny.

Mayweather has the easier assignment as he's already fought Maidana and learned from it and team will have a fight plan all set to go. Mayweather has the more to lose fearing his 0 will go.

It some sense they're both pretty dangerous. Algieri has a lot of advantages over Pac and can outbox him. Maidana is a ferocious killer and I expect another tough fight for Floyd but Floyd to pull it out again. So IMO Algieri is more dangerous to Pac than Maidana is to Mayweather. Pac has more too lose because he's not at Floyds level anymore but he's trailing.

1) maidana is a rematch

2) maidana lost to floyd via MD, whats the remstch for?

3) nothing changed, maidana still on foamy gloves

4) agieri beat provo while maidana beat whooo, broner?

HELLLOOO

Easier fight - Floyd. It's a repeat game against a tough but plodding opponent.

More to lose - Floyd. He's no more undefeated if he gets his azz whupped. But it won't happen. The ref and the judges will make sure Fraud to win.

Floyd has the easier fight, and the most to lose.

Algeri has better bodytype then Maidonna.
