Pac on the other hand was too dumb to give his nemesis 4 fking fights. Three is more than enough to me. He's like telling Marquez, "hey you missed, try again big boy".
I agree with Alex, who had a great point about both being a dominant force for years, and then got surprisingly knocked out.
Other than that, these are not that similar during the fights. Anderson Silva was show boating and dancing around, leaving himself very wide open, and payed the price. Manny Pacquiao, however was having a good fight after getting knocked down in the third round, and retaliating with knocking down Marquez in the fifth, so he went for the kill. But yes he did leave himself wide open in the end of round six, and it weren't for that, he could have won the fight.
So a bit of karma for Anderson Silva, and overconfidence for Manny Pacquiao.
I dont really see major similarities between them other than they were both dominant for years and then lost. Silva is among the most technical strikers in MMA, while Pacman is not among the most technical in boxing. Pacman is a seek and destroy guy, Silva is more of a sniper and calculator. Pacman ran into a punch, which I believe is something anyone can make a mistake in doing, while Silva got way too comfortable for his own good that he forgot he was even in a fight.
both are overrated, both have 5 losses, although Pac should have 6 because he was down for 10 seconds against Hussein Hussein
