Which TV station has the better fights, Sky Sports or Box Nation?

If you could only choose one, which would it be?

I prefer Skysports, But Boxnation's boxing coverage is far better...because it's a boxing channel. If Sky wanted to, they could easily outbid Boxnation on every show and put the channel out of business something i want them to do but the simple fact is, they aren't a boxing channel and only have a small interest in the sport.

Also Steve Bunce i cant stand the prick he talks utter **** the guy is knowledgeable but man does he talk some ****, Ifact its not just Steve Bunce but the whole box-nation commentary team are a joke. Loved it when Hopkins got angry at Bunce. He deserves it for completely bumming off fighters when there around them, and talk serious **** about them when there gone.

I agree with you on Richie Woodhall i like the guy definitely the best commentator in the uk bar none, he knows what he's talking about and he tell it how it is in fact i think Channel 5 has the best commentary team in the UK.

Box Nation have the better fights because they have the Showtime deal but if not for that then Sky Sports as the Matchroom stable is better than Warren's by some margin. In contrast I love Jim Watt, he's a former world champion too so he knows what he's talking about. As for Woodhall, he's on BT Sport's Boxing Tonight every week, I thought he left Sky, I like him too but I think the best pundits I have heard on TV recently are Paulie Mallignaggi and Roy Jones Jr.

And I'm a fan of Bunce too, he's a legend.

The ideal panel on fight night would be Bunce in the studio with Rawling and Mallignaggi on the sofa. And then ringside providing the commentary Adam Smith with Jim Watt and Roy Jones Jr.

I heard Ian Darke commentating on the football once, I thought I had sat on the remote when I heard his voice and there was a fight on that I didn't know about!

While I respect Boxnation as being a dedicated channel to strictly boxing trying to promote it in the UK, I have to say I prefer Sky Sports. First of, Boxnation has AWFUL commentary plus it's always completely different people, commentary is part of the fight for me, when i think of Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 i think 'He's not getting up Jim X100', Foreman vs Frazier 'down goes Frazier!', Ortiz vs Berto 'oh my gawwd'. If they got a commentary team that was consistent that would help drastically. I'd much rather watch a fight with Ian Darke and Jim Watt commentating over it than any Boxnation commentator that i have ever heard before.

The punditry with Bunce and the guests is good but you can't beat Johnny Nelson and Glenn McCrorry!

As for the actual fights technically Boxnation has better fights currently since they have most of them, Skysports pretty much only have matchroom fights these days which is good but before they use to have virtually all fights. Skysports are much better at promoting the fights especially for box office with those adverts like 'David beat goliath' for Valuev etc.

If i could only choose one it'd be Sky Sports.

Boxnation these days tends to have the better fights but I always wonder what does Steve bunce actually know about boxing. I mean he talks like he knows the sport but what are his credentials?

If you could only choose one, which would it be?
