Who of these boxers could beat Steven Seagal in a fight(prime for prime)?

Keeping personalities out of it, a very good martial artist can defeat a boxer in a street fight.

boxers use their fists, they do not kick or use elbows or throws or holds.

Jack Dempsey was the bar room fighter who would bet everyone in the bar he could beat them and did.

Liston was an enforcer for the mob, who beat up people to collect money.

George Foreman grew up on the streets and had lots of fights.

the old time boxers like Sullivan were very tough and fought outside the ring on a normal basis.

All of them destroy him. I'll comment on a few. Sonny Liston's reach is too big and has too much power. Mike Tyson is too fast and powerful and ****** up Mitch Green with 1 punch in a street fight. Ali is too fast and tall, Seagal will never be able to hit him. George Foreman would end the fight quickly with a brutal 1 punch ko. Marciano/ Frazier go forward and ko.

Larry Holmes may struggle because all he can do is jab and not much else. Using random things that you find as weapons isn't something that any of these people would do. While picking up a chair you could get ko'd. With no boxing gloves any boxer would get a 1 punch ko. Ray Mercer did it in MMA. When you get to a certain distance getting into a brawl and throwing punches is all you can do. Most street fights are like this. Anyway there is a reason that they all earned so much money and respect. Boxing will always be dominant.

Here's the deal, if the mode of fighting is boxing, then all 10 guys here would beat Seagal. Why? Because they are all highly-trained and skilled professional boxers while Seagal isn't. If, however, the mode of fighting is MMA or streetfighting, then Seagal could beat any of those guys, this time, because he's a trained and expert martial artist.

Any of the above could beat Steven Seagal. I'm not impressed with Aikido.

All of them would beat Steven Seagal standing but it may be a different story if the fight goes to the ground.

Steven Seagal is the only real martial arts expert their. Steven Seagal will kick his A$$. Steven owns an Aikido school in Japan, and for a gaijin to teach something that was invented by a Japanese man, and teach it to Japanese people, has to be good. He has fought many challenge matches in Japan, where they still do that stuff, and has held his own against many top japanese martial artist.

Steven Seagal too me is overhyped. Did you ever hear the story of how Gene Lebell choked him out and Seagal crapped himself ? If Seagal had the guts I think most of these heavyweight boxers would smoke him. Chuck Norris would also destroy him as well.

everyone of them would KO Seagal why Seagal is not a pro fighter nor a boxer

If this video footage of Seagal taking down Anderson Silva inside 2 seconds with his elbow to Silva's throat (ready to break it) is 100% real, then I would say that Seagal would kill all of the boxers above. Plus he has the height and size to go with his technique, something that we can't say about Bruce Lee or Van Damme.

How well would 7th Dan Aikido master, with real life experience, Steven Seagal(as young/80's style) do in a bar/street fight against the following boxers(no rules and with using everything possible as a weapon) in an old time brawl: (Aikido vs sport boxing)

1. Sonny Liston

2. Mike Tyson

3. Muhammad Ali

4. Jack Dempsey

5. Jack Johnson

6. George Foreman

7. Larry Holmes

8. Rocky Marciano

9. Joe Frazier

10. John L. Sullivan

I think that Liston, Sullivan and George Foreman would cause him trouble, because of their experience in real life brawls. What do you think?
