Would Floyd fight Golovkin at middleweight?

I know people want Floyd to fight the best fighters but Floyd is just too small. He can barely fight at Jr. Middleweight so no way Floyd can fight at Middleweight. Floyd has come in at 151 or 152 in his two fights at Jr. Middleweight. He just doesn't have the frame to go to 160.or really even the 154lb limit at Jr. Middleweight.

Q1: No. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Middleweights and above should be kept out of a discussion of possible opponents for Mayweather. Haters wanting Mayweather to lose doesn't justify him moving up to Middleweight because he is a natural Welterweight that can barely make 150 lbs. If Golovkin wanted to challenge him he would have to come down to Light Middleweight, he would possibly be weight drained and the fight probably still wouldn't happen because there is no money in that fight.

Q2: No, Gennady Golovkin appears to be a one dimensional fighter that can only fight moving forward, walking his opponent down. Mayweather is probably the greatest defensive boxer in history and is not there to be hit. That power of Golovkin doesn't mean anything if he can't land anything clean on Mayweather's body or head.

Mayweather has fought at Light Middleweight, not at the limit. I believe the most he has weighed has been 152 lbs. He isn't a Light Middleweight.

Q1. Physically yes, but the question is could he be as good? NO. 160 is too much of a stretch for Floyd who's only 5'8". And he won't gamble on a murderous puncher like GGG. Trust me.

Q2. No. Floyd is and will always be smarter than any boxer out there. He'd know how to handle GGG for sure. He'd just play it safe and dance around the ring. And because he's smart, he won't fight GGG. Trust me.

** ~ Yep, light-middleweight is no big deal for natural welterweights because it's just a matter of 7 pounds, and guys who fight at 154 are usually the same guys who came from or who still fight at 147. They're just about the same height and size. But at 160, guys are a lot bigger, usually 5'10" and above, with longer reach and much more powerful.

Probably not and I wouldn't blame him for not going up to 160 for that fight. Even if he fought at middleweight, he would probably weigh around 155 tops.

Obviously Golovkin wants the fight because it would be his biggest payday, but if he wants a challenge he can move up to 168 and try to get a fight with Andre Ward.

I would love to see what Golovkin could do against Ward. Lots of people thought Arthur Abraham was unstoppable when he was at middleweight and when he moved up to 168 he was totally outclassed by the top fighters in the division.

No not at middleweight at light middleweight because Floyd can barely get to 151.

fans,

Floyd is undefeated at 44 - 0. 26 by KO.

Gennady is undefeated at 27 - 0. 24 by KO.

Floyd is 5' 8'' & 72 Inch Reach.

Gennady is 5' 10'' (reach unlisted?)

Q 1. Would Floyd 'Money' Mayweather** be physically able to move up to Middleweight to fight Gennady 'Triple G' Golovkin?

Q 2. They say Floyd (36 yr) is known for his defense and Gennady (31 yr) is known for his punching power: could this contrast in styles equate to Floyd's FIRST loss (hypothetically)?

** ~ Mayweather Jr has fought at Light-Middleweight.
