I want to try out boxing, BUT?

Having had both torn meniscus and a torn ACL, I'd advise you to have surgery. You said you had a cruciate injury, but didn't state whether it was posterior or anterior. Usually, the anterior cruciate ligament is the one that's harder to deal with, but both ligaments work together to hold the knee together along with the LCL on the outside of the knee, and the MCL which runs along the inside. In boxing especially, where footwork is paramount, one would need to be able to pivot and push off freely with both legs without something catching (meniscus) or any other sort of physical impediment. I just don't see someone being successful or competing at 100% with those types of injuries.

Boxing can wait. Your knees wont. You need to take care of it. They will not get better on their own. Your lateral collateral and your medial collateral will sometimes heal themselves, but your ACL and PCL do NOT heal by themselves. Get it taken care of or you'll never live up to your potential in this sport. This coming from someone with experience, not just someone on the outside looking in.

if a sleeve or brace can not stabilize your knee then you will have trouble trying to box. Have you seen a doctor? What did the doctor say?

You might do some training but you need to be careful.

I would consult at least two experienced boxing physicians. Once you have their comments, you can decide.

you should have necessary scope surgery, heal and hen take on boxing. the only smart way to do it.

Cancel it. IMO

I have ruptured Cruciate ligament and little bit ripped Medial meniscus. sometimes when i slip i feel pain and have hard time holding balance, im affraid i wont be able to box or perform 100% because of this, or is it bullshiit and i should just go for it and try going on a box practice?
