Why did Roberto Duran quit in his second fight with Ray Leonard?

Because he was getting whooped. The cramps and him not being 100% because of weight are just excuses. Duran always had issues with his weight, even in his great lightweight reign where he had numerous non-title fights at 140 lbs.

He got Leonard right where he wanted him in the 1st fight but in the rematch Leonard wouldn't make such a mistake and outboxed/frustrated Duran.

Shytty gay bytchard knew that he couldn't beat a well conditioned and top Duran, so he immediately got a rematch because he knew that Duran would bloat himself up with so much food and that would give him an advantage. Duran failed to train 100% and be in top shape and was drained a bit. Gay bytchard knew this, his trainer knew this so the whole slick running technique was used to tire Duran and get him frustrated, etc. which led to no mas. Bytchard taunted and made fun of a weakened bloated Duran during the fight as well. Basically, shytty gay was afraid of a top conditioned and focused Duran cause he knew Duran would beat him again. After that, he ducked a powerful Marvin for 5 years and was awarded a gift decision.

Duran had stomach cramps - (Source-His own book)

Duran did of course party non stop after the first Leonard fight, draining himself to make the second fight (A course of action Leonard had planned on).

Leonard had 10 advantages before taking on the 1st fight vs Duran, yet lost.

2nd fight Leonard needed more then just the 10 advantages, he also needed Duran to not be 100%. Leonard made the rematch asap after the 1st lost, knowing that Duran celebrates with his cubano people and gets really fat and greasy after fights.

Leonard was trying to force Duran to chase him around all day instead of fight.

He had a bad case of the trots. Sugar Ray caught Duran when Duran was fat and happy after celebrating his victory in the first fight. Duran was forced to lose too much weight to quickly for the second fight. Duran gorged himself after the weight in.

Leonard was clowning Duran and making him look like an amature. Duran quit out of frustration.

Leanard fought Duran's fight in their fist encounter and was not going to make the same mistake twice.

Duran just couldnt take being made to look like a fool.

He was getting whooped on... The first fight Duran put the hands to sugar ray Leonard though... Way before my time, I'm 29...

Frustration? Embarrassment? We'll never know until Duran himself sets the record straight.

Because he was getting whooped on and because he wouldn't engage toe-to-toe. Duran said "No Quiero pelear con el payaso" and quit.

He was being frustrated and quit. Unfortunately the promoters paid him in advance and his money was in Panama so they could not seize the purse.
